“Best hotel beds ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 March 2012

This was our second visit to the hotel and we did not regret it. Our room had been recently refurbished to a high standard. The beds were the most comfortable hotel beds we have ever slept in. There was a wonderful view from the balcony looking over the swimming pool and further on to the sea. It was great to find 20 hangers in the wardrobe!!! All in all it was a very comfortable room. The public rooms were equally well presented.

Breakfasts were well cooked using the best of ingredients. Perfect poached eggs, mushrooms that actually tasted of mushroom and top quality bacon were among the daily choices. The evening meals were equally good, offering a table d'hote menu included in the half board price. It was possible to choose from the options available in the extensive bar and a la carte menus by paying a supplement. The service was friendly and efficient.

The hotel is situated in one of the prettiest parts of the island which offers a variety of cliff top walks. A bus leaves hourly from the hotel car park and takes you into St Peter Port for £1.

If you want a relaxing, value for money break with good food, comfortable rooms and beautiful views then the Hotel Jerbourg is for you.

Room Tip: The superior rooms have just been refurbished.

Highly recommended. We have just returned from a long weekend staying at Hotel Jerbourg. Excellent hotel, very clean with extremely friendly staff especially Paul (the Manager). Food in the restaurant is very good as is the breakfast. We had a room overlooking the sea with wonderful views. Would certainly go back there.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 31 Le Gouffre. Large room with seaview.Rooms along this corridor have great views

I have just got home from a five-day break at the Jerbourg, and fully endorse the recent reviews on this site. I stayed in one of the newly re-decorated rooms overlooking the swimming pool, and the standards of cleanliness and comfort were, as always, very high. All the staff were consistently welcoming, friendly and helpful. It was good to find that the restaurant now has a separate vegetarian menu, and the meals were generous, well presented and tasty. This was a "rest and recuperation" break for me, and the quiet and peaceful surroundings were just what I wanted. Highly recommended, and I look forward to returning when I can.

We can't speak too highly of this hotel, which has a lovely, quiet location overlooking the sea. We arrived soon after the hotel reopened after its winter break and were lucky enough to stay in a suite as the carpet fitters hadn't finished in the room we had booked. It was the best accommodation we could have wished for. It made us realise we had got used to being disappointed by hotels not living up to expectations. Not so at the Jerbourg! The staff couldn't do enough for us and the food was great (we were staying half-board). A memorable stay.

Great hotel with beautiful views. When the weather is good you can see jersey which is brilliant. The hotel is sitting on a cliff top at jerbourg point. There are relaxing walks along the cliffs just outside the hotel door which can take you to the main town. If not you can stop along the way and sit on a bench and just enjoy the sunset.

The food is very nice and is presented well on the plate, I had scallops wrapped in bacon and they were by far the best I've ever had. Also there cakes are stunning and you get a very generous slice. The staff are very welcome and do there best to accommodate you. Nothing is a fuss and they will do their utmost to help.

The rooms have been redecorated from the last time I stayed there and have been tastefully finished, with new carpets, digital tv, beds and bedding. I stayed in a suite on the bottom floor which opened up to a patio which I was able to sit and relax in the evenings.

Overall this hotel is the best hotel I've stayed in on Guernsey and would highly recommend to anyone visiting.

We have stayed in several hotels in Guernsey and have found this to be the best we have found, It is in a great location close to the airport and St Peters Port. The room was excellent and newly decorated with new beds. They set up a sofa bed and a cot for our 1 year old boy. Any requests we had the staff were all too eager to help with. Our 1 year old has a severe allergy and the staff made food up especially for him. Talking of food - the food here is seriously good and its clear the owner must employ a good chef. We had three family meals here including scallops, seabass, steak and the Sunday carvery and they were all beautifully cooked. There are some good walks around the hotel too with some stunning scenery on the cliff walks nearby. It was March when we visited so the pool was not in use but it looks lovely and I look forward to us returning in summer to enjoy it!
I thought all in all the experience was very positive and we will certainly return. It is only rated as 3 star at the moment but the food and standard of service was better than I have had in some 5 star hotels I have been in!

Room Tip: We stayed in a superior room on the ground floor overlooking the pool - good views.

When we stayed at the Jerbourg we were most impressed. The views from the hotel are fantastic, the food truly excellent and the staff so keen to please. It really is a hotel to come back to, again and again.
