great holiday, friendly staff which is rare these days, good location near capital but not too near, they couldn't do enough to help

Room Tip: ring hotel to talk through options, as they often do 4 nights for the price of 3

Just a quickie to say a huge thank you to all the staff at La Barbarie. This was our fourth visit and as usual we were not disappointed but on the contrary bowled over by the excellent food, comfortable rooms and friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. Back again next year. Thank you.
PS. Lobster and Crab much appreciated and cooked as requested!

Just ten minutes by taxi from the airport and only £6, There is no aircraft noise at the hotel.
Stayed here alone as needed peace and quiet for a weekend. Room 18 on the ground floor was a little small and dated, but bed was most comfortable I have slept on in ages. Free WiFi made work on laptop easy and was fast.
Iron and tea and coffee in room handy and lots of tour leaflets around the hotel.
Walked 6 miles around coastal path which was stunning and so peaceful, heated small outdoor pool excellent for cooling down with a gin and tonic!
The dining room is lovely, the menu superb, it has an AA rosette, the service and quality of the food was amazing (I had the scallops and lamb).
Breakfast menu was good, I had the full english which I recommend and was cooked to order.
I wouldnt go here if you wanted shops as it is situated in a very quiet narrow lane and is a stones throw from the coastal paths, very hilly and again not suitable if you planned on pushing a wheelchair around. A lovely break and I will definitely be back!!!

This was our second stay , on this visit we took elderly parents, who also thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The standard of service from the staff, at all levels, would be hard to beat both in terms of freindliness ans efficiency. Our rooms were well equipped and spacious. Once again the dining experience was exceptional, in fact the restaurant is very popular with the locals both for lunch and dinner.

What can i say about the Barbarie the BEST EVER hotel we have stayed in. Where shall i begin the reception staff were lovely, we were asked if we would like a daily paper and given a welcome letter from the general manager welcoming us to the hotel which was a nice touch, we were shown to our room which again had everything you wanted in a room and a standard room at that, it was tastefully decorated the bed was lovely and comfortable too, we had the usual things a room should have tea and coffee making facilities a flat screen tv hairdryer, ironing board/trouser press and a good size bathroom with a large bath and shower over. We must say how clean the room was too window sills and skirting boards no dust at all. Well done to the chambermaids who cleaned daily without fault.
thats the room dealt with and for the rest of it, we booked Bed and Breakfast so that we did not fill that had to rush back for and evening meal. However, we ended up eating 4 nights out of the 7 because the food was superb and the service excellent the restaurant manager Ivo was so attentive he and his staff made us feel special. "THANK YOU" The breakfasts were lovely too and best of all if you had an early start breakfast from 7.30am to 9.30am for those whose wanted a lay in. There is a very comfortable bar for day and evenings a good place to make new friends and quite lounge area too. The hotel has a beautiful swimming pool in a lovely garden area.
Getting in to St Peters is easy the no. 6 bus stops right outside the hotel every 20 minutes the roads are very narrow, so we suggest you use public transport and not hire a car as parking in St Peters in limited to 2 hours only and if you buy an Omer card for the Bus you get the journeys for half price Bargain! so you can travel on a bus for 50pence a journey per person we travelled on the No 7 bus a circular route around the island for 50p each of course if you break your journey you just slipe your card on the next bus. So hwe would recommend The Barbarie for everyone.
