If you've got kids and looking for somewhere not too formal this is a good shout. The early bird menu is three courses for around £12, and available all night in the brasserie part. Service always good.

We ate here for dinner one evening whilst visiting Guernsey and also stopped in for breakfast later the same week. The evening meal was pleasant, wine was good & waiting staff attentive, restaurant seemed to lack any real atmosphere & although I would probably eat here again as a safe bet it wasn't particularly memorable. Breakfast was pleasant, although I would avoid the pancakes & bacon, they were supposed to be American style but were way to thick & as a result not cooked, bacon was way too fatty. Fairly average experience overall.

This was opposite the Moores hotel we stayed in, so was convenient for Sunday lunch. We were shown a table for two, by the wall, near the front. We were not area of the area overlooking the harbour, or we would have chosen to sit there. We ordered chicken and cottage pie. Portions were on the small side, but were good quality. The food took about 20 minutes to arrive. Afterwards, we ordered dessert and had tarte citrone and apple pie. Not a good idea to serve apple pie on an almost flat plate with a jug of custard, though! Both desserts were good and the apple pie did not seem to be microwaved. The pastry was crisp on the outside. Overall service was a little slow, although the staff were very pleasant. There was a small adjustment to the bill to compensate for the service, but even then it was a little overpriced for what it was. I would not return here again, or to Guernsey, but would not discourage anyone from trying Christies.

Christophe ( presumably of The Swan fame) is now managing Christies and it really does show.

The restaurant and brasserie areas were much cleaner than previously as were the tables.

The service was pleasant and efficient.

We ordered two Christies Burgers and a Club Sandwich. All were absolutely delicious. Having just returned from New York I can honestly say that the Christies burger was better than any burger we tasted in NYC.

Will definitely be returning.

This is a very good restaurant with really lovely food, all cooked to order, the staff are very friendly and helpful, if you have to have a special diet this is a good pace to eat, you can also dine outside if the weather is good and the views over the harbour are lovely.
