The quick lunch here is great, very simple with small steak on a board with fries and /or salad, with a glass of wine.

Perfect for when you do not have a lot of time to spare

We went here for coffee. It is an attractive French style cafe. Lots of ornaments and decorations, small tables, bentwood back chair type decor, setting the style. It seems to have a good reputation for food but we went only for coffee. Pleasant staff. We were made welcome and promptly served good coffee of our choice.
I don't know if it has disabled access, but it has steps inside, so is not the most accessible place.
It is owned by the same people as Octopus, a stylish modern waterfront restaurant also in St. Peter Port.
Le Petit Bistro is situated in a corner building off the main roundabout.

We had been trying to get into the Petit Bistro for ages as it is always booked up and were surprised to get in on a Saturday night for the Tennerfest. Unfortunately I had not read the small print - not their fault - but it is not served after 6.30 so anyway we chose from the A La Carte and our friend decided to have a sirloin steak, the first one was inedible and he could not swallow it it was so tough so he asked if the next one could be a filet and eventually it came but instead of being cooked medium it was blue. He just didn't bother after that and settled on eating only the chips. My moules were very nice and a good price but my husband had the coq au vin which was served in a bowl along with dauphinois potatoes also served in a bowl, both very difficult to eat without a plate. We shared a cheeseboard and there was plenty of it and the wine although not cheap was delicious and the staff quite friendly.

The restaurant has an authentic bistro feel and the food was very good if not in the fine dining category. Service was friendly enough if a bit haphazard.

Very quirky, authentic French restaurant. Staff were friendly and attentive. Book well in advance to avoid disappointment. Amazing food, so rich and tasty! Lots of choice even during tennerfest season! Superb price. Going back this week!
