“Outstanding team & service!!”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

Been a regular visitor to Mora now for over two years and Andre and his team are absolutely amazing.

The team is always welcoming with a friendly smile, remembering your name, favourite drink, food, etc. I found that without exception everyone is accommodating with out of the ordinary requests and always obliging.

They've recently launched a new cocktail menu, which offers an extensive variety that rivals others on the island.

There is live music on a Friday night featuring local saxophonist extraordinaire, Collin Falla, who plays funky house tunes until late in the evening.

Thank you to everyone and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!!

“Good venue, good food, good night.”
Reviewed 24 August 2014

This is the second time i've eaten at Mora. A year ago I had a great meal and that was bettered this year. The upstairs room has a good atmosphere previously we were seated in the centre of the room but this time the table gave us a great view of the port. The service was slow but as it was a very busy Saturday night I could accept some tardiness, however on tasting the food all was forgiven. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals and we had a tremendous evening out.

“Our Best Restaurant Experience Among Many Guernsey Highlights”
Reviewed 23 August 2014

Surprised to see that Mora is not ranking higher in the reviews. My partner and I found it to be a very convivial restaurant with a choice of downstairs brassiere or upstairs a la carte. We opted for the latter and were not disappointed.

Prior to visiting our only recommendation was a local taxi driver - we had intended to go elsewhere but so glad we didn't.

Very good quality food on offer - just salivating remembering the scallops starter and cod wrapped in chorizo. My partner had the wild mushroom friccase and chicken which were also very scrummy indeed. Plates were scraped clean which is always good sign.

Add to that the very attentive staff, correct portion sizes and course timing (a guaranteed way to annoy me as a diner is to rush the main out the moment the fork goes down after the starter) and it's a sure fire winner

Also, please do take advantage of the downstairs cocktail bar before your meal - reasonable prices and no scrimping on the alcohol brands.

All in all, a great dining experience and on a return to Guernsey we will certainly head there again.

“Great location and atmosphere”
Reviewed 17 August 2014 via mobile

Good menu choices, including the drinks menu. There are 2 menus, one for the brasserie downstairs and the other for the main restaurant upstairs - we sat downstairs but we're offered both menus.
Service was a little slow, but the place was packed.
Food was well cooked and well presented.
