This was our first visit to Guernsey and we will certainly return to the island and to this hotel. The staff were very welcoming and always happy to help in any way and should be highly commended. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere and lovely public areas, the gardens would be wonderful to sit in during warmer weather.
Our room was well appointed and we had a balcony overlooking the garden which was a bonus, well worth upgrading to these superior rooms. Breakfast was first class, freshly cooked breakfast as well as a very good buffet selection. We had lunch in the Oak bar one day and also had an evening meal in the restaurant and can highly recommend both. We didn't use the Swimming pool or gym as we didn't have enough time but both looked excellent.
The hotel is situated a good 15 minute hilly walk from the town which suited us as we like to walk in the evenings. We did have a hire car which we used each day as we like to explore at our leisure. Driving is not for the faint hearted, there is a 35mph speed limit but some of the lanes are extremely narrow, something to bear in mind if you aren't aware.
We will definitely return to Guernsey and will stay in this hotel again.More
