The firing of the cannon at noon is something not to be missed. Beautiful setting and such an interesting place to look round. Would suit all ages.

Had a whole day at the castle. There is so much on offer, five museums, a costume show put on after the noon day gun, café for refreshments and views over the sea and towards St Peters Port. The noon day gun firing is very popular and very loud!. We went into all the museums and spent the day enjoying the exhibits and information supplied in an abundance. We thoroughly had a good day and would recommend this to all ages.

Watching the noon gun was very entertaining. We were luck enough to watch the 21 gun salute a couple of days later. The castle itself was interesting and well explained.

Couldn't decide whether to go in or not - seen one castle you've seem 'em all - or not. We spent several hours exploring this wonderful attraction. There were 4 or 5 museums inside, all very interesting and well worth a visit. We watched a play about a Roman and his slave which was very entertaining and don't miss the cannon being fired at midday but take your earplugs as it's VERY loud. Had such a great visit and would highly recommend it to everyone.

Excellent historical site well worth a visit. Ensure you get there in time for the NOON DAY GUN ceremony.
We took four hours to go around it and it was well worth it. Really enjoyed reading of its history over the years
