“Overall a good experience”

We stayed for two nights. The room was basic but adequate, this was fine since we had not been led to expect anything else. We had a nice view of the bay and the hotel was well situated for getting round the island. The food was anything but basic and we loved eating here. The evening meals were excellent, lots of choice and nice portions. Breakfast was good too and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our two boys were made welcome and the pool was a nice addition to our trip. If you are expecting something really posh then maybe this is not for you but if a straightforward accomodation and good food type of place is what you are looking for then you could do a lot worse.

Spend four nights in leree.
This hotel is rated 2 stars, please don't let this put you off, the food on the bistro is first class, the service is just the same done with a smile.
Breakfast was served as hot and cold buffer with cereal fruit and toast, quick service to our table and no problem of comunication.
The room was basic but adequate to our needs, comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, clean every day with fresh towels and suplie of coffee tea and milk.
Had an amazing view to sea and sunsets that will not soon forget

Room Tip: Room 28 had the best view ever

I stayed in the L'Eree Bay Hotel the end of July, on the west coast with fantastic views of sea and romantic sunset
Asking for a double bedroom, we were given a room with single beds pushed together at different heights. After managing to get someone to the unmanned reception, I was made to feel I was in the wrong as my Husband and I never got what we payed for, even had to collect paper work from the top floor room we were given to prove I was not telling porkies.
After a while and me asking if they couldn't give me what we wanted can they find us another hotel, a double room key appeared.
The room was clean but needed updating. The 3 nights we stayed there the second night we had no milk and gave up trying to find some, the third night we grabbed some milk from the box on the way to our room, but one towel and one hand towel was left.
The first night we didn't get much sleep as there was a locked door by our bathroom, which made noises and at night came to life with all the other rooms drainage for showers and toilets. It sounded like marbles being thrown down the pipe. The second night was a little better and by the third night we were too tired to care.
The breakfast was self serve, the fried eggs were very slippery and added to the humour of catch the egg, the sausages were meat but couldn't tell you what meat. The bacon was very fatty, best part was the locally grown tomatoes that my friend grows which were full of flavour and can be purchased at the local car boot sell.
Never tried an evening meal at the hotel as the breakfast was off putting enough, but there is a Indian and a fish and chip shop within walking distance.
Please visit the Island of Guernsey, and enjoy the tantalising views of the west coast but there are other hotels that give better value for money, and have far more attentive staff.

Room Tip: Free WIFI but was never able to locate where it was in the hotel. There was a laptop in an off room...

Did we just step back in time we ask ourselves!! FAWLTY TOWERS or What!! minus Basil Fawlty!! Never saw anyone actually man reception in the 6 days we had the misfortune to stay at hotel.

The whole place is extremely dated, I don't think they've done anything since the 70s! Dingy, musty, unpleasant stale odour in room. Rusted iron balcony which was past it's sell-by date. Nails sticking out inside the wardrobe. The bed was so uncomfortable due to the springs protruding through the mattress. We'd of had a better nights sleep lying on a bed of nails!! Bathroom - shower constantly changing temperature, you were either scalded or water ran ice cold. Hotel states that they offer tea making facilities - we had to constantly ask for tea bags and milk. When room finally cleaned, housekeepers left a couple of tea bags + 3 milk pots! each day for 2 of us in the room.

Breakfast was not exactly appetising - lack of cereal variety, greasy fried food, No bread/rolls on offer, only thin tasteless toast which you had to keep asking for. Unhelpful staff who spoke little English, asking for a boiled egg was near impossible!!

Swimming pool very dirty. We never saw anyone clean out pool, take water samples, or test chlorine levels.

Resort itself is somewhat baron. Where was that lovely sandy beach that's advertised? Beach constantly covered in seaweed washed up with each tide. Plenty of flies though!

This hotel may be a 2* Budget hotel, we've clearly stayed in cheaper, far superior, accommodation to this 70's hotel, so will definitely NOT be returning.

Room Tip: Room did have a seaview and view of pool. However, mainly overlooked the kitchen roof and bins. At t...

Have just come back from our 3rd year in a row to this hotel. Brilliant. Some bits in the guest rooms are tired BUT the rooms are spotlessly clean, the rooms are well equipped with telephone, television, tea and coffee, private bathroom. Food is excellent. You must try 'Frosties steak platter' or 'Frosties seafood platter (both names after Hotel owner, Mark Frost). All the staff is friendly, efficient. The best bit is location, location, location. On beautiful sandy beach with warm turquoise, see through, water, and incredible views out to the Atlantic Ocean. You will not find a better, low cost, value-for-money hotel the Islands of Guernsey. We have already rebooked for next year. Thank you to Mark and his staff. We look forward to seeing you again at L'eree Bay Hotel next August.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view room. The views are breathtaking.

This hotel is in a great location, just across the road from a good beach with sand & lovely sunsets. The tide does go out a long way so bathing is not a good idea near low tide but the hotel does have an outdoor swimming pool. The food is very good and prices of meals in the brasserie are reasonable. It was good to find a hotel with real ale available. There is a fish & chip shop & indian nearby and a small general store less than a mile away.Four different bus routes stop outside the hotel so getting around by public transport is easy and cost of doing so is low. Breakfast is buffet style which suited me but some people prefer freshly cooked. Reception is generally unmanned and you have to call for assistance. This is OK for major issues but deters you from making casual enquiries. Public areas were OK but room needed redecoration, rewiring and plumbing. It met basic needs but I would not like to spend a lot of time in there beyond sleeping and washing.

Room Tip: Do not choose room 35, it has a saniflo toilet and window opens directly onto road right by bus stop...

We have stayed at this budget hotel (2 stars) for a number of years now and find it an ideal location for the beach. It is not a luxurious hotel but Staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. Food on half board is excellent and a good choice available. The pool is ideal if not wanting sea-bathing.

Room Tip: Choose sea facing
