Dear Scot9

Thank you for taking the time and effort to rate Fermain Valley Hotel on TripAdvisor. We are delighted that you found the staff friendly and helpful. We noticed you gave the hotel 3 out of 5 for value. A handy tip: our prices are at our lowest far out in advance, similar to airlines, so for that all important great deal, book early! Hope you don't mind the "heads up". We look forward to seeing you again.

We ahd two adjacent rooms overlooking the bay. We took our nine month old baby grandson with us. The hotel could not have been more accomodating and helpful. Chef every night cooked for him exactly what w asked for - never mind what was on the menu!!!
I also accidentally left behind a brand new ipod. I hadn't even remembered that I had not got it when the hotel emailed me to say it had been left behind and they would post it on! What honesty by the hotel staff. We shall be back!!!

This hotel is in a prime location 10 minutes drive from St Peter Port at the top of a beautiful, lush valley with views either across the valley and sea or of the lovely gardens. If staying in the Venue ask for a room at the back as the front overlooks the road.
We had a 3 night break flying with Blue Islands from Southampton and stayed in a Platinum room with sea views and the only way it could have been better would have been to have had a balcony. Next time we will make sure we book this. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, relaxing and altogether delightful. We have never had such a good night's sleep at any hotel. The beds are very comfy and the pillows, which often let a hotel down were soft as a feather. Linen was changed daily, which I felt was unnecessary but very pleasant even so.
The food was top quality, It is the only Michelin starred restaurant on Guernsey and although we had planned to eat elsewhere on our 2nd and 3rd nights we didn't bother as it was not only delicious food but I thought it reasonable for this quality. £49.50 for 2 people for three courses. They also made sure that it was served just the way you wanted it.
All the staff (including the Reservation team) were very helpful, attentive, well trained and went out of their way to help. The hotel minibus was available as often as we needed (even after the service had finished at 4pm) and the drivers were courteous and pleasant.
We will definitely return, maybe on a 5 night break this time with 2 days in their hotel on Alderney and this time we will definitely walk down the steep valley path to the beach and cafe.
I wouldn't recommend it for families with small children but it is perfect for romantic breaks or for couples looking for total relaxation and peace. Overall a 5 star experience.

Dear larki
We are delighted that you have rated the hotel so highly and it means a lot to the team as we strive on a daily basis to provide our guests with good service and a great product.
Our Valley Restaurant is not Michelin starred, that used to be our old restaurant called Christophes, but we are truly thrilled that you think the food warranted your comments. We have just recently been awarded 2 AA Rosettes for the Valley Restaurant.
We can highly recommend the Twin Break with our sister hotel, Braye Beach in Alderney, well worth it!
Thank you once again and we look forward to seeing you soon!

We stayed at the fermain valley hotel for a 5 night break in july 2011. Overall a very nice experiance. The staff were friendly, facilities good and rooms and gardens kept up together very well.

Liked the free wifi, in house cinema (which is better than the main cinema!) and the gardens were great.

Thank you for your kind words. We think our private cinema is better than the local one too - lol, and it's such a great service for our residents to watch a movie with our complimentray popcorn! Glad you loved it!
