On arriving to the hotel the reception staff had no clue of check in procedure i was not made to feel welcomed fire regulations were not shown or told to me it was like been greeted via a robot
However sally on breakfast made us very welcome explained where every thing was smiled and in all was amazing perhaps she should train the bar staff
Rooms were clean presentable and beds comfortable

Had drinks at this pub /restaurant and it was really nice.
The sun was out and we Sat in the garden next to a river. The river ran under a bridge and had a rapid effect right by the garden.
You can eat here as well.

We went here on Father’s Day and they managed to squeeze us in. Great food, the carvary was really good. Plenty of room outside to sit and enjoy the great location. Plenty of parking. Bickleigh mill is very close by.

This is a pub with 16 rooms in a beautiful location. You can sit outside beside the rive Exe and watch the water flow under the stone bridge and in short time we were there we saw plenty of waterfowl and a heron fishing right in front of us. The bar has some good beers but be warned it shuts promptly at 11 even if you are a resident. The rooms are split between the main building and some lodge type buildings behind the pub. The plus is you can park your car right outside your room. The rooms are clean and tidy without being outstanding. Breakfast is ordered on a pay as you go basis. I had the standard cooked breakfast which was good value. The hot food was cooked to order and arrived promptly. The buffet for the rest of the meal was good. I would stay here again just for the location!
