I stayed here with my family at Easter this year and we all had a wonderful time! We chose this caravan park because my husband had to work in plymouth and he could then commute from here every day and i am so glad we did. We have stayed in all the Parkdean sites in Cornwall but i was surprised at just how much we enjoyed this one. On arrival our beds were made (which is a real treat when there's 6 of you), and we were able to get in our caravan early, we were a minutes walk from the beach and you could see and hear the sea from our caravan! Luckily the weather was stunning and we were able to take long coastal walks every morning, sit on the beach all afternoon and then swim in pool before tea. The caravan was immaculatley clean and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The whole area is a like a secret gem! This part of south devon seemed quite forgotten, none of the crowds that you get in north cornwall. The two nearest villages, Ringmore and Kingston are beautiful and they both have lovely pubs, serving great food. Our week here was a real tonic and we'll definitely be back.

The road to the site is quite challenging. There is a new luxury building development going on opposite challborough and the noise can be a nuisance. However, you have the most beautiful sea and coastline view. Well worth a visit.

We visited from 23rd May 2014- 26th. The caravan was very clean and the sheets were clean as well. There was TV, Central heating, and everything we need. The kids loved the indoor swimming pool and arcade and the nature walks were just beautiful. The beach was wonderful. The onsite shop had everything we needed .Devon people are very friendly too. Very difficult to fault Parkdean Reception were friendly and kids LOVED Sid and Lizzie! The only thing we didn't like was there was no WIFI in our caravan.

A beautiful quiet setting for a traditional seaside holiday. Accommodation clean but we booked 3 vans in the same category & they varied from good to mediocre & poor. Food in bar was disappointing- cold tea & ploughmans with white sliced bread! Fish & chip takeaway & shack excellent- great food & wonderful service. Although park is dog friendly dogs not allowed on Challaborough beach from May -Sept. No mobile signal or internet caused problems - perhaps should have been made clear at point of booking.

Just stayed at Parkdean weekend 30th May 2014. Caravan was very clean. Staff all friendly. Food was nice on site. Couldn't fault Parkdean. The evening entertainment was also good quality.

My only really picky comments would be pillows were very soft (if you are a fellow picky pillow person, take your own) and the bed mattresses were thin. If you have a mattress topper take it with you.

As others have commented on the phone service/wifi. It is pretty much non existent. But personally I liked it. There is free wifi when you are in the bar/entertainment area.

I'd happily return to the site and recommend it. It's right on the beach and nice and shallow water. A few minutes walk to the left and you are on your way to Burgh Island.

The nearest petrol station is 7 miles away so be aware when running low on petrol. Kingsbridge is a lovely town and we were lucky to be there at the same time as the food festival. There is a Tesco and Morrisons in the town which are the nearest Supermarkets so stock up before you head to the site.

Oyster Shack served crab, lobster etc. It has a Mediterranean feel to it which was a refreshing change to the norm.

We had a surf lesson with Discovery Surf School. 4 adults, 3 kids (youngest is 8) and we had a fabulous time. Highly recommend. Wet suits kept us warm. The two trainers were good. You can hire kayaks and paddle boards from the Surf school too.

Many comments on here re the roads. Yes they are narrow (the narrowest being the tidal road) but there are pull in points at regular intervals.
