We three couples, experienced golfers on holiday at Burgh Island Hotel, thoroughly enjoyed our round here. The weather cleared for the afternoon and we were rewarded with sunny views of our hotel. We received a warm welcome from the staff and good value food and drink. Despite the earlier rain the course played well and was a fair test - particularly some long par threes. There were several blind holes which are difficult when playing for the first time and a little more course information would have been helpful. In particular the temporary green on the eighth was a bit unfair when you had no idea where it was. Perhaps and indication on the tee would be possible?

My partner and I did not play golf but walked through the golf course on our wander down to the estuary. The views of the coast from the course are spectacular with Burgh island in the distance and many friendly cows and sheep along the way. After our walk we were very hungry and asked at the club house if we might have a meal there. We were made quite welcome and enjoyed a relaxing meal at a moderate cost. The wind at the top of this area was very strong and so it must be quite a challenge if you are playing golf, but I would imagine that is what makes it such an interesting place to play the game and the open scenic countryside is so beautiful that it makes this a special place to visit !

The course has beautiful views, great place to play. The weather was nice, that makes it even better, although it is not an easy course.

We took advantage of their twilight hours rate of £18 and can't stress enough how good value that was!! From arrival to the 18th we were absolutely blown away (not literally, but I bet it gets blowy there) by firstly the friendly reception from the nice lady in the pro shop, the quality of fairways and greens, course lay out and obviously the views!! We WILL be back in the very near future!!!

Lovely course with unparalleled views out to sea and Burgh Island, and the estuary. The course is in very good condition, and it's such a friendly club.
