Wonderful located place with amazing view. Friendly staff with local attitude.
Clean and modern rooms well decorated with nice view (if you choose sea front)! Food and service are average compared to international standards. Indoor pool and sauna are acceptable but not really satisfying. Terrace, garden (seafront) and outside pool are very nice. A good place to be with children and grandparents for the weekend.
Free internet access is provided in every room and in the hotel lobby now.
A beautiful golf course (27 holes) is near by and both courses are highly recommended to play.
Saunton Sands is a good place to be, if you intend to travel to North Devon...

Room Tip: Choose seafront. Not only because of the view...

We stayed at the Saunton Sands to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. The room was lovely, very clean, fantastic view. Bed was comfy. The service was very good and attentive. Complimentary champagne for our anniversary was a nice touch. Delicious breakfast. We chose this hotel because it was one of the few hotels in Devon and Cornwall which would take a one night booking for a Saturday night. Many hotels and upmarket B&Bs insist on a 2 night stay which is hopeless for parents who have no-one to babysit for that long. Saunton Sands has its priorities right, the customer comes first and we'd definitely stay there again.

A beautiful situation with this superb hotel overlooking the most amazing beach. The rooms are well decorated and comfortable, as are the reception areas. There is a lovely sunny terrace and a large garden overlooking the golden sands. The staff were, without exception, very helpful and friendly. In addition to the attractive outdoor pool there is a large indoor pool area. We found the food excellent and with a good choice and evening meals were a real treat. We have stayed several times and it has become one of our favourite hotels, we would certainly recommend it.

Room Tip: If you can, book a sea view. The view up the beach and over towards Clovelly and Hartland Point are stunning.

Fantastic place to stay, warm welcome lovely friendly staff and great location. Playroom was brilliant for the children they had a lovely time. Room was clean and well decorated with lovely views over the outside pool and coastline. Food and service was great although we did feel the dinning in the evening wasnt for children which it would have been nice to eat as a family.

Would reccomend!

Room Tip: sea view is a must - you pay more but its lovely to wake up to.

My husband and myself had a short break here recently with two friends. It was first class. Accommodation food and service were spot on. This hotel is a wonderful place to stay if you are visiting Devon.
We have been to Saunton Sands many times and it was so nice to see familiar staff on our return, who have been working there many years, and make you feel very welcome.

Room Tip: The sea view rooms are wonderful.
