Apartment was spacious but dated and the decor also dated , and a plug socket wasn't fully secured in one of the bedroom walls which was a surprise. The patio door wasn't secured until we asked twice for reception to send someone over to fix it, but had one night with the external door unsecured. The location is great.

Room Tip: Bayview apartment not the best unfortunately to stay in.

Thank you taking the time to review your recent stay within our self catering apartments.

I am very sorry that you felt that the apartment was dated. I have addressed the issues which you have brought to my attention and these have now been rectified.

On a more positive note I was pleased that our location met with your expectations.

Thank you once again for taking the time to review your stay and I hope that we have the opportunity of welcoming you back to Saunton in the near future.

Beautiful setting but disappointing...Pool area and changing rooms too small. Tried to use gym but lots of kids playing on gym equipment. Food service very slow in the Terrace room and poorly presented with minimal effort on plate appearance. Rooms basic but good and clean.

Thank you for your recent review following your stay at the Saunton Sands Hotel.

I was surprised to read that you found the swimming pool area and the changing rooms were too small, as the majority of our guests do comment on how spacious these facilities are.

The mini gym is for person over the age of 16 and has a coded lock on the door. Occasionally we do find that youngster do gain access, however, if this had been brought to our attention we could have resolved this issue.

May I apologies if you found the service in our Terrace Lounge to be on the slow side, also with the food being poorly presented. I have discussed these points with both the Food and Beverage Manager and the Head Chef.

On a positive note, I was pleased that you enjoyed our location and that the room was to your satisfaction.

Thank you once again for your time in reviewing your stay and I hope that we have the opportunity in welcoming you back to Saunton Sands in the very near future.

Stayed here on a golf trip in June, we were lucky to have amazing weather and quite simply I do not think you could find a better spot anywhere in the world. Amazing views from the terrace bar, helpful staff, good breakfast, highly recommend.

Room Tip: no idea on best rooms can only say i saw a few that friends were in and they were all good

My husband and I stayed in a double room while my daughter and her husband had a family suite for their 3 boys (aged 6 and twins aged almost 3). The children loved being there as it was so close to beach. They also very much enjoyed the indoor pool & the children's entertainment each afternoon. I think the entertainment is only provided for children during school holidays - it was half term when we went. Special children's teas were provided. We felt these lacked variety, but when we suggested alternative dishes these were provided.

The adult food was very good, but the service was somewhat slow. Our room and bed were very comfortable indeed, but I had to smooth the under-sheet one night - it had clearly not been touched by room service. We appreciated having comfortable chairs to sit on and good lighting to read by.
The staff were all very helpful and pleasant.

We were lucky enough to have our wedding here in August and it was a fabulous day. The setting is spectacular and the sea views superb. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed excellent food and service in a really relaxed atmosphere, and plan to come back to celebrate our first anniversary.

Room Tip: The Sea View Rooms are spectacular.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. We had a sea-view room which had the most amazing views over the beach which seems to go on for ever. The room was well equipped and the bed was so comfortable - we had really good nights sleep. We had booked dinner bed and breakfast and we weren't disappointed with the food. Breakfast was excellent and the menus at dinner were also good. The only things we thought were a bit over the top were the supplements on the menus. Fillet steak was an extra £16-ish (but having said that, the meat was absolutely beautiful - the best fillet steak I'd eaten in ages!) All the staff who served us were so polite and eager to please. The welcome at reception when we checked in was excellent. On the whole, we would recommend this hotel and we hope to visit again soon.

Our Last minute decision resulted in a glorious holiday with.Wonderful views ; Sands stretching to eternity; warm attentive hospitality; one was smothered by comfort and attention.Good ambience; cared for by young, cheerful well-trained smiling staff who cared for us beautifully: nothing was too much trouble; EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE. Our comfortable.Sizeable Bedroom had all mod-cons.Well laid out fascilities within this sparkling hotel with lots of space ,wide passage ways, large reception rooms and excellent modern new carpetting.Excellent large modern clean Swimming pools and Saunas inside and out : A SORT OF PARADISE. THE BREND GROUP HAVE MUCH TO BE PROUD OF and their management congratulated on the spicK and span operation they deliver as they welcome and look after their guests.
We hesitate inwriting this tribute as we fear our satisfaction could attract so many that we might have difficulty in obtaining accommodation next year !
If this be the case, at least we have lovely memories of a very worthwhile and happy holiday; THANK YOU THE BRENDS. Our Best Wishes until next year Daryl C of Bedfordshire ( a COUPLE , who like their comforts ).
