“Great holiday home”
Reviewed 23 February 2016 for a stay in October 2015

We had a great time at High View, good to the title it holds good views from the living and one of the bedrooms. It is very well equipped across the kitchen and living room. Would thoroughly recommend the property for families or couples looking for a break in a gorgeous little cottage near the sea and all the area has to offer.

“Total Relaxation!”
Reviewed 30 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

I have just spent a totally chilled out weekend in Braunton, staying at this fantastic property with my friend. The property is situated on a hillside, which provides beautiful views and amazing sunrises which you can watch from your bed if you stay in the double bedroom.
The property is newly refurbished, which means everything is SPOTLESS which is just what you need when you are away from home. With such a lovely kitchen you could be tempted to cook a meal, but there are some lovely restaurants less than a ten minute walk away, so we just had leisurely breakfasts admiring the views.
The property is perfect for a family ( I will definitely go back with mine) and the location is ideal for exploring the lovely surrounding beaches (even in the cold). The popular area of Croyde is near by, but Braunton really is better value for money. I would not hesitate to recommend this property for a break in the autumn or a week-long stay in the summer. Well done to the owners for creating such a lovely property....and the provision of Netflix and wi-fi was a nice bonus.

“Devon Adventure....”
Reviewed 15 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We had a great holiday and really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Our son loved body boarding in his wet suit. On days when the weather was mixed we drove to Woolacombe and it was usually sunnier/brighter and warmer there.

Rock pooling, Braunton Burrows, Croyde, Woolacombe we all enjoyed ourselves! Family fun!

The cottage was clean and tidy and a great place to stay!

“Spot on”
Reviewed 23 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Chose the property for its proximity to Saunton Golf course and couldn't have been more delighted. It really was as described with plenty of space for the four of us and golf bags.
Stayed in for two of the nights and found everything we needed for a BBQ and a chilli night. Would recommend twilight golf for best value. We found both courses pretty challenging (handicaps 3 through to 21) but in a good way. Great to have such a comfortable base to get back to each day. Thoroughly recommend.

“Stunning views from High View”
Reviewed 12 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We booked a week at the property High View, in Braunton at the beginning of August. The lovely thing that hits you as soon as you arrive, is it’s like a home from home. The Bungalow has been made to feel very cosy but also very stylish. We were greeted in the kitchen by a lovely welcome pack comprising a bottle of bubbles, cookies, milk, tea and coffee. For the coffee lovers out there, a very welcome nespresso machine and coffee pods also were provided. The kitchen is brand new, and is very well equipped with everything you would need from pizza cutters, cling film, olive oil and plenty of good quality utensils, crockery and pots. There is a separate WC, along with a brand new bathroom with over bath shower, and heated towel rail and lovely fluffy towels. A double bedroom and a twin bedroom were all beautifully dressed, simple and stylish, and the all important blackout blinds in both rooms! Plenty of wardrobe space and drawers and hangers and cosy bedding. The lounge / diner is lovely, has a fab oak extending dining table, really comfortable sofas and armchairs, and a wall mounted TV with Netflix included. The sofa extends into a sofa bed to sleep another two people. There are sliding patio doors out to decking with a table and chairs, with spectacular views over Braunton and out to sea. The lower part of the decking has a gas barbecue, and ample under-house storage, with chairs, parasol, beach toys etc. The owners have thought of everything here and also installed an outdoor hot shower to wash off any sand from the beach before entering the house. We had a glorious week staying at this Bungalow, it’s a few minutes drive to Saunton Sands, and then another few miles on to Croyde Bay, which has some spectacular beaches. Our kids went body boarding all the day and into the evening and didn’t want to come home. It’s a great base for exploring North Devon, we had such a great time and visited local attractions on a couple of less sunny days. It’s a short walk into the village of Braunton, where there are some lovely restaurants. Would highly recommend this place for a North Devon holiday, couldn’t fault the place at all, it was spectacularly clean and we can’t wait to go back again.

“Amazing place with great views”
Reviewed 20 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Having arranged a last minute girls weekend away to Devon, we didn't have high expectations about finding somewhere that would suit us, but how wrong could we be! The newly refurbished High View was absolutely perfect and if we weren't the first people to stay, then it certainly seemed like we were as everything was so pristine. We catered in on the first night which was absolutely no problem given the high spec of the kitchen (I do love a dishwasher in a holiday let) and then went out in Braunton on the second night which was just a 10 minute totter away in even the highest of heels. It rained on our last morning at High View but even that didn't diminish the view and I can't wait to go back. In fact I've already booked a week to take the family and the kids are very excited about the outside shower and store cupboard of body boards. Watch out beach, here we come...

“Perfect spot for family holiday!”
Reviewed 14 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We've just spent a lovely week at High View cottage. We were the first people to stay here after a complete refurbishment and I simply can't fault it. The cottage itself was beautifully furnished to a really high standard - absolutely everything was brand new and spotlessly clean. The photos don't quite do it justice. The owners were really friendly and have even provided a Nespresso coffee machine which went down a treat. The best feature was the spectacular views you get from the decking outside. It overlooks Braunton and the countryside and we spent many evenings just sitting looking at the view and having BBQs. This is the third year we've visited Braunton as we love the area and we'll definitely be returning to High View next year. Thank you for a great holiday!
