A beautifully cooked oven baked sea bass, friendly & helpful waiting staff. Called here on a chance booking and had 1st class fish. My mum had a rump steak that she said was cooked 'just right'. Not too sure about the recipe that is used for dauphinoise potatoes, but really didn't need them as the fish was so big. Would definitely recommend... Thank you

Had a really good meal tonight in Beamers.the food was excellent and the service very attentive.TBH have been disappointed with food to date in Brixham but were very surprised at how good this place was. I had monk fish off the specials for starters and my wife had the salmon parcel both were excellent; albeit mine was much larger than expected for a starter. my wife then had the John Dory off the specials and I had the pork.... Both excellent.Shared a very good creme brûlée and a bottle of White . good VFM too if you are down this would highly recommend this restaurant
One tip when you are booking ask for a window table

We had a meal here on our second night in Brixham. We booked a table earlier that day and would suggest that you do book ahead as it is very popular.

The restaurant is situated on the first floor and is accessible by stairs so may not be good for anyone with mobility issues. When we arrived we were shown to a lovely table at the window and we had a brilliant view of the harbour. What we liked about the seating in the restaurant was that whatever table you sat at you had seemed to have plenty of space and privacy as most of the tables were set in little alcoves/booths.

We came to this restaurant as although they specialise in fish and seafood dishes they do offer a good choice of main vegetarian dishes. When we gave our order we had olives and bread sharing platter, not realising that it came with white bait. The kitchen had picked up that we have ordered vegetarian main meals and the waitress came to us to ask if we ate fish as the starter has white bait. We said that we didn't and hadn't realised white bait was included with the olives and the waitress said it was no problem they would exclude the white bait and give us some extra olives and bread. We were impressed with the attention given to our order as most restaurants would not have bothered to enquire with us.

The food was very well cooked and presented. It was still very hot from the kitchen. The service was fantastic. We had a lovely meal here and would definitely return if we should come to Brixham again.

We visited Beamers during a week holiday to the area in June. We managed to get a table here despite phoning ahead only an hour earlier to be informed they were we full for the evening!

Things got much better after that, with a lovely starter of lightly fried fish and home made tartar sauce and a huge main of mussels, scallops and prawns. Scallops perfectly cooked, and excellent value considering the portion side. Being in Brixham I was had high expectations for my meal, and I certain wasn't let down.

The other half had steak, well cooked, with lovely sides.

Definitely the best meal we had in Brixham.

We visited on12 July having booked well in advance. Service was excellent and the food superb. We had an early booking as we'd travelled for hours (holiday) and knew we wouldn't want to eat late and it was very quiet when we arrived but the place was soon buzzing. Staff coped well. Recommend d the monkfish but the portions are large so pace yourself if you want a pudding. Will definitely visit again when we are next inBrixham. A table by the window was a bonus.
