“Didn't want to leave!! ”
Reviewed 16 May 2014 via mobile

This is the last night of our two week holiday in Moorings Reach, we stayed in number 64,
The apartment is excellent, everything you could need, fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave, nice Telly in living room, small TV in main bedroom, but none in the other two bedrooms, that might bother those who can't do without TV, but it didn't bother us, we didn't watch it anyway.
There are three bedrooms, the main one is large, has built in wardrobe, en-suite bathroom.
Then the others are two and one bedroom, both fitted out nicely.
There is a small balcony where you can wile away the evenings with a drink, watching the sun go down, Magic!!
But best of all, is the view, looking out over the harbour and the bay, what more could you want??
we don't want to leave, this was our third visit, WE SHALL BE BACK

We have stopped at Moorings Reach 4 times and cannot fault the apartments , we have stayed in number 60 ,62 , and 64 twice , all are of a very high standard , This time in 64 every where was clean , enough of everything , bed linen and towels provided allocated parking , views across the harbour , and the bay to Torquay and Paignton , what more could you ask for . Security gates to Moorings Reach as well .The kitchen has everything you need .Check the photos on Blue Chip site first .

Room Tip: These are 2 / 3 bed apartments so just choose what you need.

We stayed in no 22 in November for 6 nights. Having never been to Brixham before and not had a self catering holiday for many years we did not know what to expect. Moorings Reach was lovely. It is on three floors. It had all we needed and more . The kitchen had more than enough crockery and cutlery etc also a microwave ,dishwasher and washing machine..The view from the lounge was super you can see the harbour and watch the coming and going of the fishing boats. The situation could not be better its only a five minute walk to the town and two minutes to the pub which serves nice food. The apartment sleeps nine and there was more than enough of everything to cater for that number. Everything was very clean. All in all a very relaxing time and we will be back.

Dog friendly, which was a must, as we were taking her with us. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by a very secure-looking gate that was opened by an electronic key. Parking for one car was provided. As we opened the front door to the apartment, we thought we were walking into a show home! The hallway, three bedrooms, and the EXTREMELY spacious lounge were fitted with that common choice of new-build carpet (that nice creamy brown colour). The three bedrooms provide a good choice. I was staying here with two others and there was a brief debate about who wanted which room as they were all so nice. The master bedroom has the view over the harbour and has a double bed and en suite; the bedroom opposite this is a much smaller room with a single bed; and the room next to the bathroom has twin single beds. The lounge is massive with comfy couches and a balcony that allows you to sit outside and look out over the harbour if you wanted to. The kitchen has everything you would need to cook and prepare food and was of a nice size with a dining table that could seat five people. There's a DVD player underneath the TV, and I noticed some puzzles and board games behind a couple of doors in the hallway. Plenty to keep you occupied if you ever got fed up of walking around Brixham (which is impossible!).
The central heating kicked in after a certain time in the afternoon, which was great in this chilly month of November! All of the radiators were nice and toasty.
All of us were very impressed with the showroom feel of this apartment and the complimentary box of shortbread biscuits to go with our first cup of tea. :)
Thank you, Blue Chip! We'll be booking with you again.

Room Tip: I've not stayed in any of the other apartments, but if the standards of cleanliness in apartment...

First time we've stayed here and would stay here again without a doubt if we return to Brixham. The apartments are finished to a very high standard and are clean. It is literally on the harbour, straight out of the door! The car parking is secure with a key fob to enter the premises.

Each flat/house is owned by different people and managed by different companies, therefore each property is individual and offers different things. We stopped in 64 Moorings Reach last year and it was wonderful. We had a fabulous view of the harbour, everything we could have asked for in the flat - even crab lines and picnic baskets, DVD's, books, and a little box of welcome fudge!! - it was immaculate and we loved it. This year we only needed 2 bedrooms so decided to book a smaller flat through Blue Chip (same company as last year) and got number 3. While on the surface it was pretty much the same - good furniture/carpets etc the flat did not have the little touches of number 64, needed a good dusting (though my family think I can be a bit nuts about dust) and have several things not working (tumble dryer, which in the wet week we had we could have done with) and a dishwasher which only decicded to work twice in the whole week!! I also advise they get a new mattress for the double bed it was one of the worst I have ever slept on! I would still advise anyone to go to Moorings reach - its in a great location and on the whole the flats are of a good standard, I think we were spoilt by no 64 been so great! I have scored on an average between the 2 flats I have used - but can say 64 was excellent and 3 was average-very good.

Just returned from a week in this lovely apartment. The apartment was beautifully furnished, clean and had everything we needed and more, a real home from home. Harbour view from the lounge and main bedroom, and only a five minute sea front stroll to Brixhams restaurants and shops. Welcoming tea, coffee and biscuits were a lovely touch. Two car parking spaces came with this property which was perfect for us as two families. Booking and access arrangements with Blue Chip went perfectly. Sad to leave, would go again in a heartbeat.
