My hubby and I have been going to Quayside Hotel for quite awhile now, staff know us very well. The staff are wonderful including the chef Andy. The food is excellent.

There is no lift and stairs are quite steep, overall hotel is lovely and quirky not like the normal everyday Holiday Inns etc.

New Years Eve is a must absolutely fantastic, you will have a good laugh especially at the horse racing, the food is excellent.

Please please try it you won't be disappointed

Bought as a special deal on travelzoo, £89 for b&b and evening meal for 2 people. What a bargain, the 3 course meal was one of the best meals I have ever tasted. The restaurant manager Ota (from Czech republic) is amazing, he has a great sense of humour and totally made our stay. Can't wait to return.

we loved our one night voucher break so much, that we paid full price for a second night.
food was what we looked forward to each night and morning. hotel was quaint and floors a bit uneven which we think made it more of an adventure. things are a little Fawlty Towers, but in a really nice way, everyone extremely helpful, especially Otto in the restaurant, love him! We are booked again in a few weeks, and can't wait to get back.
also, there is so much to do in the area including really cheap boat trips. room very warm in winter, so didn't matter at all that we got drenched in the rain several times each day, we knew we could get dry in a few minutes back at the hotel.
rooms are basic but perfectly adequate and quite large.

The Quayside Hotel, Brixham, just stayed the one night , very friendly place, although there's lot of stairs and passages, properly the hotel was made up from several fisher mans cottages. Good position overlooking the harbour , food and service excellent. Would recommend.

I have just returned from a weekend in Devon, and stayed at this hotel with a friend for one night. My friend booked this accommodation as part of a Travel Zoo deal and it exceeded our expectations on most levels.
On arrival we were given a parking permit to park in the hotel car park which is a little distance away up the hill but there was plenty of parking spaces and it didn't take too long to walk back to the hotel. We had dropped our overnight bags off first and when we returned to the hotel our bags had been taken to our room - a nice touch.
The hotel lounge and restaurant were beautifully decorated for Christmas and it gave the hotel a lovely atmosphere. We were allocated room 1 which was a twin room which was well furnished and had a small flat screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities. There were complimentary toiletries in the bathroom and the towels were soft and fluffy but a bit on the small side-just a minor niggle. The room was spotlessly clean. For us the only negative points were the fact that the radiator in the bedroom had been turned off and as it is December it would have been nice if the room had been a bit warmer on arrival but it did warm up fairly rapidly. The main downside was the lack of a view of any kind. There was a door which opened on to a balcony of sorts with no roof, it was open to the elements but enclosed on all sides and this was very tatty and in need of some TLC. If booking this hotel upgrade to a harbour view as it would make a huge difference to your stay.
However, for one night in the winter the view wasn't essential and it didn't detract from our stay.
Included in our deal was a 3 course dinner, a glass of bubbly and full English breakfast the following morning. This is where this hotel excels. The choice of food was excellent and you could have anything from either the main menu or the supplementary menu. There was a tiny supplement if you chose the scallops as a starter or the sirloin steak but this was £1 and £2 respectively. The food quality was fabulous as was the presentation. The free glass of bubbly was an added bonus and a second glass was available for £5.
All the staff were friendly and service in the restaurant at both dinner and breakfast was faultless.
This hotel has a lot going for it and the location is good not only for Brixham itself, which is fairly quiet but for visiting other towns in the area. It is certainly within easy reach of Dartmouth which is always worth a visit. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a harbour view

Stayed 30 November for one night on the Travelzoo deal. Had a lovely evening meal, good choice and very well presented. Breakfast was very good too.

Hotel is very quaint and great view over the harbour. Staff extremely friendly, nothing too much trouble. Will certainly be looking out for this deal again.
