I recently stayed at the Quayside hotel which is situated right in front of Brixham harbour. We had the superior room and the place was beautiful.
It was very spacious and the bed was very large and extremely comfortable.
The view from the room at night was beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was off a menu and was very tasty and i would definitely stay there again.

I've read a few of the other recent reviews and wholly agree with them. Food great staff friendly and it was clean , the harbour view is a must. Local people really friendly.there is live music in a lot of pubs which adds to atmosphere. We would certainly go back to brixam and to this hotel .

Very comfortable hotel overlooking the harbour with great sea views out across Lyme Bay. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food excellent, both breakfast and evening meal. Rooms are tucked away in a labyrinth, but we had a good sized room on the top floor. Just down the hill and round the corner is the Blue Anchor pub. A proper pub, with good humoured locals who enjoy a bit of banter. Really enjoyed our chilled out weekend. Will definitely be going back for second helpings ! Thanks guys.

We stayed using the Travelzoo voucher offer. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful, everything was lovley and very clean. The dinner was amazing, local fish cooked to perfection and great service. It was an excellent stay. Being very picky, our room was hot and airless at night as it overlooked a conservatory area, but we had a great time and would definitely go back one day.

Stayed for just one night last Oct, weather was warm and we enjoyed a lovely walk around the area.
Hotel is quaint and a bit dated but quite charming, we payed extra for a harbour view which was well worth it, staff were very helpful, the restaurant is quite modern and the food very good, breakfast was also good with lots to choose from.

Room Tip: ask for a harbour view

This hotel has grown from the knocking together of a number (6 I think) fishermens cottages. The conversion appears to have been done haphazardly over a long period. The end result is a higgeldy piggledy maze of a hotel with changes in level, odd staircases and multiple routes to get from A to B. Quite charming and full of character. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. Service was available to carry cases up and around the interior. The setting, slightly above Brixham harbour is superb, with great views from the rooms, only go for a harbour view, it is well worth it. Breakfast was good and again the service was first class. We will definately stay here again. Rooms are a little small, but this is not a purpose built hotel and the character more than makes up for it.

Room Tip: Make sure you have a harbour view.

Directly overlooking the harbour, with the added advantage of its own private car park just around the corner. Lovely character hotel, with attractive little cocktail bar and really nice restaurant. We had a fruits de mer seafood platter which was exceptional. The upstairs corriadors were a bit higgledy piggledy but all adds to the character of the building.Staff very friendly. Can't wait to go back again. YOU MUST HAVE A HARBOUR VIEW ROOM.
