This place is right next to the harbour and has one of the best views you could possibly find, we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable, room was very clean with everything you need, good parking and breakfast included in the very reasonable room rate. We'll definitely come here again!

Brixham is a place I visit when I need to get some head space. An old childhood haunt.

Rosie & Matthew run a superb house. Neither can do enough for you. £66 for one night was too cheap.

Great breakfast, great room, nice little touches run by people who clearly know their craft.

See you soon, I hope!

Our second visit to Fishermans Cottage next door to Sampford Guest House and as ever still outstanding. Rosie and Matthew greeted us so warmly and made us feel so welcome. The cottage had everything we needed for our short break. Adjoining door to Guest house ....Best breakfast EVER!!
Thank you ROSIE! Cooked to perfection!
Location is perfect...trips by boat to DARTMOUTH & Torquay and many more.
We so love Brixham and would highly recommend staying here.
We shall return .

Room Tip: Fisheroom cottage a MUST!

We visited Brixham from New Zealand as we had our honeymoon there 22 years ago. Unfortunately we caught a nasty virus somewhere between New Zealand and London. This did not dampen our trip at all. Rosie and Matthew were just the best hosts and their breakfast was the just the best.. Their establishment was beautiful and a day in bed trying to get over sickness had the best view over Brixham Harbour you could ever ask for. Rosie and Matthew are genuine, lovely people who will make sure you have the best stay in Brixham. Thank you so much x

We stayed here for 3 nights in June and couldn’t have asked for more from a B&B. The room was spotlessly clean, very well presented and had stunning views. The tea & coffee tray in the room was well kitted out with extras like green tea and camomile tea for non-caffeine junkies. The breakfast was the best breakfast I’ve ever had (and I’ve stayed in big hotels) with lots of local produce – I’d recommend the home made muesli and the fruit salad with yoghurt! The location is also perfect with just a short stroll to the harbour from which you can catch lovely little boat trips to Dartmouth, Paignton and Torquay. The parking is understandably not outside the hotel, but it’s only a 30 second walk (if that) with no problem getting spaces. Matthew and Rosie made us feel very welcome and were always on hand for questions about places to visit but remained respectfully unobtrusive otherwise. It was clear they loved their B&B and it was very easy to see why. Also just to mention the price is incredible for the quality of the place – it felt more like a boutique hotel in many ways. We were traveling with a dog who was also made to feel very welcome and very much enjoyed his holiday too!

Room Tip: Definitely worth paying that bit more for a room with a view!

Just returned from another fantastic weekend at the Sampford House. As usual the food was great, the room was spotless.Rosie and .Matthew were brilliant. It is their attention to detail that makes Matthew and Rosie such great hosts. We brought a bottle of wine back to the room one evening but never opened it. When we returned after going out the following morning Rosie had left us two wine flutes and a note saying that the wine was in the fridge cooling."Cheers"!! From Josie and Frank thanks to both of you.
