We were staying at a nearby B&B and saw the menu as we were walking past Quayside and booked for dinner. This turned out to be a fantastic decision. A very quaint, old-fashioned reception style with menus provided in the ante-room before proceeding to the dining tables. The food completely exceeded our expectations. Scallops, fish and crab were all cooked perfectly and the mussels in a cream cider sauce with pickled apple were amazing. Highly recommended!

This was a lovely restaurant and the pudding was presented as if it was straight out of Masterchef!! Great service and we were looked after well.

We have had dinner at the Quayside Hotel on our annual visit to Brixham every year for many years, and we have seen the restaurant go from strength to strength. The food is full of flavour and beautifully presented, the wine delicious, and the service is very personal and welcoming. We have often celebrated key birthdays here (our daughter's 13th and mum's 40th). The kitchen staff have even managed to spring upon us a personalised petite birthday cake at the end of the meal. Our most recent meal included Moroccon style food with a Moroccon red wine - simply delicious! The chef quite often offers a free taster to start the meal. This has been either a small carrot and coriander soup (before the Moroccan meal) and on another occasion a refreshing sorbet. We always feel that we have been very well looked after at the Quayside Restaurant. Top tip - ask for a window seat when you book to be able to watch the sun set over Brixham Harbour. It is a beautiful view and completes the pleasantly memorable evening.

We were invited to dine in the restaurant as we had some friends staying in the hotel. Having had some lovely meals around the area, there was a slight wonder as to what the 'hotel food' would be like, as to be honest the outside did look a little traditional. Now reading that back it does seem unfair, but it was an observation. We met in the lounge for drinks and were warmly welcomed. Once we had chosen our starters and mains, we were shown through to the restaurant and immediately I was impressed as we could have been transported to a plush city setting. The meals were fresh and well presented and flavorsome, couple this with superb attention from the staff, we had a delightful evening and would recommend and will also visit again when in the area next time.
