My family and I enjoyed a meal at the Quayside while we were there.

All the meals were delicious, although the portions were on the small side. We did get some free soup to start however, which was incredibly tasty.

I think everyone I was with had fish, and it seemed fresh and was well cooked. I often find fish to be slightly overdone but this was firm and light. The Brixham cod (if I recall correctly) was thought to be particularly nice, as was the pea risotto it came with.

The mango parfait was mouthwatering, and the local cheese platter was also extremely enjoyable.

We had a very helpful waitress (Lucy?) who kept our table full of drinks, and she was very attentive and engaging.

We stayed in the hotel bar after our meal, and enjoyed a lovely atmosphere and some very comfortable chairs!

Will definitely go again, and although I haven't seen the rooms, if I go back to Brixham I would consider staying at the Quayside.

We were staying at a nearby B&B and saw the menu as we were walking past Quayside and booked for dinner. This turned out to be a fantastic decision. A very quaint, old-fashioned reception style with menus provided in the ante-room before proceeding to the dining tables. The food completely exceeded our expectations. Scallops, fish and crab were all cooked perfectly and the mussels in a cream cider sauce with pickled apple were amazing. Highly recommended!
