Enjoyed ourselves at The Quayside Hotel Restaurant the other evening. As always the food and service were top notch. The prawn cocktail starters were excellent and they must be the best in Torbay. For a change we had the meat special which was Rump of lamb and again it was excellent and cooked exactly right. The homemade ice cream & sorbet are delicious and a perfect light ending to a meal. Excellent wine list and coffees. All told a most pleasant evening and we are looking forward to next time already.

A wonderful restaurant, with food to match, the staff are fun and friendly, the food presentation was just exquisite with taste to match... a brilliant mix and match menu or the a la carte so plenty of choices and the fish of the day of course and seafood sourced locally.. next time Fruits de mer

At breakfast we asked if the chef could prepare mackerel for my husband and sauteed prawns with garlic for me. He came and spoke with us, just to make sure of what we wanted. We booked a time and a table and the food was absolutely wonderful. Always great to get what you want, even when it isn't on the menu.

Just come back from another excellent meal at The Quayside Hotel in Brixham. The restaurant open to non residents offers a wide choice of dishes and both a set menu and full a la carte. We always get a warm welcome and relaxing in the bar and lounge whilst your order is taken is a real treat. We both had 3 courses one from the set menu which is very reasonably priced and the other from the a la carte. All dishes look as good as they taste and the portion sizes are plentiful. If we had to highlight favourites then the beef bourguignon and sautéed chicken special were worthy of special praise. The relaxed atmosphere and attentive and friendly service makes for a pleasant evening out. A bonus is a table in one of the windows as they have a good harbour view. The wine list is excellent and probably one of the best in the bay. Lovely coffees finish off the meal perfectly. See you all again.

We followed another couple to this restaurant to eat for evening meal , got there about 8.30 and so plenty of tables , asked if the restaurant was fully booked , but the staff were quite blunt and said no and were no longer serving , it clearly says outside open until 10pm , very poor

We are extremely surprised that this would have happened at the Quayside Restaurant. Please double check that you have reviewed the correct Restaurant. If you are sure, please let us know the date you visited so that we can follow up. For your information there is no sign outside saying that we serve till 10pm.
