Thank you to all of the staff at Holne Park House for our perfect wedding in July 2013. The organisation and execution was simply excellent. Particular thanks to Laura for her planning and to Toby and Maddie for their services on the day itself. Heidi and Chris.

We are delighted we chose Holne Park House for our wedding. From the detailed planning with Laura to the exemplary service from Toby, Maddy and the team on the day, our wedding could not have been more perfect. Holne Park House is comfortable and stylish and set in wonderful countryside. The food exceeded our expectations and the accommodation is spacious. A fabulous place for a special day.

Every bride wants to feel just like a princess on her wedding day, on the arm of her prince..slushy but true. The setting for my daughter and her husbands wedding reception was almost fairytale-like. From the long winding entrance road and drive way ,surrounded by fantastic woodland and country views, we were already in awe and anticipating whether the house would live up to its truly lovely surroundings...it more than did! The look and feel of this lovely house is regal yet homely with period charm and ambience. It also carries a modern feel and has obviousley been kept in very well decored condition walls, coving, picture rails carpets etc. Even the large fireplaces ,especialy in the Dawson and Inkwell rooms. We chose the Dawson room for the wedding meal which was light and airy with that same period yet modern feel . It felt and looked both clean crisp and elegant ,with views looking out from the tall sash bay windows onto the huge garden lawns surrounded by a proud display of trees.Off from the Dawson room was the Inkwell reception area with 4 huge modern sofas you just sink into, after coffee or champagne from the bar.It was a lovely area to sit, chat and chill. Others of our friends and family played cricket in the gardens, swam in the "stones throw away "lake, and chatted together outside by the water fountain and ate ice-cream.,( a surprise from the groom as he had arranged an ice cream van treat). We were allowed to "twinkly " the house up to the hilt with fairly lights, wedding sighns, bird cages , flower decor and photo frames We were given an area to use for a photograph booth thought up by my neice and her hubby )by the piano off the reception area , (the piano was used by a friend as backgound music in this stylish lounge area) also a room with TV and games for the children. In the eivening the ball room with its even bigger windows and lovely chandeliers with dimmer switches to really set the scene, was again perfect for us all to dance the night away. and we did!! The staff were so helpfull friendly and proffesional and more than accommodated my daughters wedding vision. I still cant put into words how all of the staff , espeacially our wedding co-ordinator Laura, just made everything so relaxing and so easy for us...a real Holne Park aset to say the least.! The food was cooked to perfection and plenty of it. At the end of a truly happy and speacial day it was so lovely just to walk up the stairs and off to bed knowing all had gone so amazingly well. To top it all we were more than happy with our lovely spacious and spotlessly clean rooms and bedding, all of our family commented on thier rooms being so nice and would highly recommed Holne Park House as a wonderfull place to stay. Breakfast.. again cooked to perfection we were spoilt with "help-youself choice "... the full English.. and then some!... along with tea coffee and fruit juices and cerials.it definatly beat us..even my hollow legs nephew after his 3rd visit to the table. To sum up .. its fun spending time looking at different wedding venues and comparing ..but eventually you have to choose ,and it has to be the right one for you so that no disapointments are recalled in anyway.I would happily and confidently advise anyone to take a trip out and have a look at Holne Park House ..you may find that right in front of you is the absolutely perfect wedding venue for you and your family and friends just as we did! Happy days!!

Room Tip: we stayed in the rooms on the first level ..brilliant!! bright airy and loads of space ..ensuite too

Just spent a long weekend at The House for a wedding reception. A perfect location, beautiful grounds, but the rooms are tired, ours still showing signs of a water leak in the roof.
This aside the wedding reception was helped to be perfect by one man and one man only Toby who seemed to work 24 hrs a day, absolutely everything he was asked to help with, try and supply or do he did, Toby a big thank you from us all.
The food was very good, the buffet breakfast a delicious start to the day.
This is certainly a top wedding venue, which offers so much for all ages and pockets.
If nothing else its worth a day trip for the experience of stunning grounds and adventure playground.

Room Tip: The coach house seems to have had a face lift, the main house needs one. The main house is not idea...

If you are looking for a truly beautiful venue which has the rare combination of being very elegant but which in no way feels formal or stiff then this is your place. Gemma helped to make my good friends wedding dreams come true without any fuss at all and with her team of lovely staff made everyone feel like they were in a home from home. It is one of the few places where literally all of your wedding guests can stay the night as it has a wide range of rooms.dormitaries and also camping and campervan pitches which means no one has to be left out of the party. Pure magic...look no further

Do you want a wedding in beautiful surroundings in the depths of the country? Then you must consider Holne Park House near Ashburton, Devon.
My son was married here recently and we had the most wonderful time over the weekend. Gemma organised everything beautifully, a true professional who was calm and reassuring and supported us through all the planning; nothing was too much trouble.
All our family & friends were hugely complimentary about the whole weekend and how much fun they had had.
I can't recommend Holne Park House enough as a venue for a wedding especially having Gemma as the organiser and her team of friendly, efficient and fun loving staff. Just brilliant -Thank You

I got married at Holne Park mid april, we stayed there for the three days surrounding the wedding and had the happiest time of my life.

The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and charming. I got great pleasure telling some of the guests that their "massive" rooms were some of the smalles there... mainly as I got to stay in the biggest room.

The breakfast buffet was delicious, the staff were friendly, helpful, accommodating and I really felt that they went further than they needed to make our stay and wedding so fantastic.

Tthe house and grounds is beautiful, and the large number of rooms in the house meant there was plenty of space for everyone.

And the Inkwell (with it's 4 enourmous sofas, warming fire, glass room and corner bar) has got to be one of my favourite rooms on the planet.

The Cafe and adventure playground on site gave our guests some where to eat and play before and after the event, and there is ample parking for everyone.

I can't wait to go back there and visit again. I will be recommending the venue to everyone.

Room Tip: All the rooms are brilliant... they really are.
