We had a lovely time. Nathan and Kate are really welcoming, and made us feel right at home. Very child-friendly (our 2-year-old loved playing in the large garden). The room was very clean, and the breakfast was great.

We really enjoyed our stay, and will certainly be back.

Lovely B&B, absolutely spotless. Warm welcome from the owners.
Managed to lock myself out of my room at 12.30 at night, had to wake up the owners to get me back in, but they couldn't have been more understanding (not sure I would have been).
Travelled from London to Totnes and then went by Taxi to Gages Mill very enjoyable!

Gages Mill ticks all the boxes for a country guesthouse/B&B. Rural setting, but walkable into Ashburton for places to eat. Nice rooms in this converted water mill. Lovely large mature garden to read your book in, or to enjoy a glass of wine or a beer from the bar. Clean and welcoming. Very friendly and attentive hosts for whom nothing is too much trouble. Wireless internet was an unexpected bonus. And no TV in the rooms means that you won't be troubled by an insomniac neighbour! Just perfect for a stopover or for a short stay.

We spent 3 lovely relaxing days at Gages Mill - a delightful B&B with beautiful views all around. The hosts Nathan & Kate were very friendly and helpful. The service was excellent as was the hearty breakfast. We will return sometime soon.
The B&B was a very short drive from the village of Ashburton with it's wonderful array of shops and quaint pubs. Our favourite eating place was the Moorish Restaurant. The fish deli and artisan bakery are definitely worth a visit.
We visited a few National Trust properties namely Saltram & Coleton Fishacre however there are several more within a 30 minute drive. A must spot for National Trust members!!

We stayed at Gages Mill over the Easter weekend, recommended by the wedding party - not expecting much we where very pleasantly surprised by this quaint little B&B with panoramic views of surrounding Asburton.

We were a party of 7 - 3 couples and our 2 year old. The host (Nathan and Kate) were very accommodating, changing our room around to make space for his travel bed. (This was much appreciated).

The room was nicely decorated, clean and spacious with all the usually mod con and we had two pleasant night sleep. The breakfast was served in the down stair living room - and full English were the order of the day for all - sausages were delicious, supplied by the local butcher - a local delicacy.

A nice surprise was the host have young family and this was definitely a plus for us, as our son made a b-line for the toy box. Entertainment was sorted for the weekend.

All in all we had a nice and relaxing stay and our group had a fantastic time at the wedding knowing we did not have to far to go from Lavender house.

I would recommend Gages Mill to all as they are very gracious and accommodating to all. Thanks alot and see you on our next trip.
