The town of Buckfastleigh has a lovely range of shops, a couple of good pubs, riverside attractions by the River Dart and the Valiant Soldier Museum which is only open during the summer season but as we are regular visitors to the town we wish it was open more often. Our family just loves this place, it has something for all ages. The kids love it for the atmosphere and their parents enjoy the fascination of a time past and the older ones can remember being in pubs just like it. Lots to see and experience and then have a lovely cup of tea in the tea room, or fish and chips at the local chip shop, best fish and chips and at reasonable prices.
