Well equipped, comfy, cosy cottage in the centre of Buckfastleigh with a lovely riverside garden to go with. We couldn’t have asked for more to start our hooneymoon.

“Great place, nice location, will recommend to others”
Reviewed 18 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

Steve had prepared a warm welcome, everything was very clean, nice cottage, perfect for the 2 of us with out 11 month old son. The town is great with very nice people at the organic shop, with good coffee. Also close to the NP and some nice other towns near the sea.

“Quiet & comefortable surrounded by beautiful countryside”
Reviewed 8 September 2017 for a stay in August 2017

A small very quiet & comefortable cottage tucked away from the street but within walking distance of shops.
I found artisan bread, butter, cheese, jam & milk all ready for breakfast the next day, how nice was that!

“Great little cottage in a very intriguing location”
Reviewed 3 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

This cottage has been really well restored and made a great place to stay. Very close contact with the quiet street outside, friendly neighbours and so close to the village shops, pubs and car parks while being very much removed, yards from the river. The allocated parking space is probably not for the faint hearted with its narrow, steep approach but we found using the town car parks with the pass provided was more than adequate and very flexible. At one point we needed a bit of minor maintenance and it was dealt with very quickly and smoothly. Highly recommended.

“Charming town centre cottage”
Reviewed 27 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

This delightful cottage was just what we hoped. The setting was perfect, and we found the tucked-away riverside garden very pleasant for a summer drink by the Mardle, watching the ducks. The parking was fine, as the town centre car park was very close. When we had a problem with a light, Steve came round that morning and sorted it out. We even had Netflix!

“Loved this little 2 bed cottage”
Reviewed 15 July 2017 for a stay in June 2017

The cottage was very cosy, perfect for a couple or a couple of friends. Located in a small village with a few local shops. The cottage was very clean when we arrived, and the owner had left some us some bread, jam cheese and milk which was lovely. Tea & coffee was available too. The kitchen area had all necessary utensils if you wanted to cook. We had to park in a car park a couple of minutes walk away, as the cottage is down a tiny side road with no parking, but that was ok, the owner had left us a parking pass. Had to email the owner the day before travelling to find out where to collect the keys from, and we were never told what time we had to leave by on checkout day - we would have liked a little bit more communication prior to our stay but this didn't cause us any issues. We would stay here again if in the area.
