“Nice circular walk”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 May 2014

This is a favourite walk by the waterside and through woods. Easy walking. Great place to take a picnic too. Picnic tables and benches provided. Getting there is fun along narrow lanes with lovely vistas across Dartmoor. Very close to quaint market town , Chagford . Can recommend the scones at the New Forge!

“Peace, quiet and some lovely fresh air.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 May 2014

A relatively straightforward 3 1/2 mile stroll around a lovely reservoir. Some great pic-nic spots and good facilities. Liked that it wasnt Haytor Touristy busy, a great walk to just relax and clear the cobwebs out. also nearby chagford has the most amazing 'general stores', seriously, pop in and have a look, and see what you CAN'T find! Nice pubs too!

“Best with snow”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 February 2014

Wait till it snows then visit this lake. Magical winter walk. The walk takes about 50 minutes to go round the lake. They do charge for parking but there are some good picnic tables to the side of the lake with great views.

“Nice but pricey parking.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 November 2013

Nice combination of open paths and woodland, but £3 for less than half a days parking seems steep given toilets were locked as it's winter and.....that was the only facility. Better free to park alternatives exist.
