Haven't been to this pub for a long time due to the last tenants running the place into the ground. Which was a shame because we actually live in the village.
We've heard some positive comments over the last few months, so decided to give the Westward another chance.
Both me and my wife had the Sunday roast, which was very good. It was plentiful, well presented with good quality ingredients. A couple of little negatives was that the gravy, served in a gravy boat, was only luke warm. The hot puddings were tasty and very good value for money. The custard could have been hotter and did taste a little watery. The staff were nice and friendly.
Overall, it was a very nice experiance. Nice to see the place heading in the right direction.
Glad to say that we will be returning.
