“Charming, rustic, cosy cottage”

We were made to feel very welcome on arrival along with our 2 dogs. The cottage is a delightful, charming, rustic retreat. It has a very special feel to it having been designed and created by the very clever owners. Wonderful use of natural materials. We loved the slate kitchen worktop and shower floor - so natural and therapeutic. We felt very relaxed - we now wish we had booked for longer so we hope to go back again. Gorgeous setting, immaculate too - wouldn't have known it was doggy friendly as it is so fresh and clean so ideal for couples with or without dogs. Great dog walking straight from the door and very easy to have dogs here. Can't fault anything and such good value too especially as dogs are welcome free of charge.Highly recommended.

“Perfect Getaway”

Stayed for 3 nights at the end of July. Picturesque setting deep in the Devon countryside. We were warmly welcomed by Diane and Al and their dog Cleo (very friendly). Had a bottle of wine waiting for us and the place was spotless. The cottage has an excellent finish and perfect size for a couple on a romantic getaway looking to escape the bright lights of London. Visitors book recommended some excellent places. Lit up the chiminea by the river which had everything you needed ready to start the fire and enjoyed the peaceful river before being joined by some cows across from across the water on a lovely summers evening. A great find!

“Lovely Cottage”
Reviewed 8 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We are on a self drive holiday in the UK from Australia and this was perfect. Di was very welcoming and the cottage had everything we needed. We even lit the chimnea down beside the river and could have stayed down there for a while but unfortunately it started raining.

“Superb find. Perfect location.”
Reviewed 12 April 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Stayed for 3 nights, March 2015. Ideal secluded location, the cottage is tucked away but easy to find using Sat-Nav together with owners directions. It has been tastefully renovated by the owners to a very high standard. Owners met us on arrival and were helpfull & friendly throughout our stay. Nice walks direct from the cottage and easy access to Dartmoor by car. We would thoroughly recommend Love-lee cottage for a quiet peaceful getaway.

“Beautiful setting, perfect rural retreat”

So pleased we found this perfect little hideaway. Great location for Dartmoor, great walks (some from the door). Went to sleep listening to the owls and woke to the birds singing. The hosts, Diana and Alan are warm and welcoming and happy to recommend places to visit, great restaurants and pubs in the surrounding villages and the lovely town of Tavistock which is definately worth a visit. Top tips - it is a true rural retreat so bring any supplies with you and ensure you have good directions, and the hosts telephone number, particularly if arriving at night. We will definitely be back.
