We chose to stay in Dawlish purely on the reputation of Lammas Park House and we weren't disappointed.
As we approached the front doot it was immediately opened by Tony and we were warmly greeted, introduced to Carolyn and then shown around.
We stayed in the Henley Suite which was large, airy, beautifully appointed with a huge 6 foot wide bed, huge cosy duvet and quality linen. Table and chairs, a settee and a wonderfully situated armchair, right by one of the the huge windows so one could look out over the town and sea.
Through some large doors was a dressing area and shower/wash area. A seperate door hid the toilet.
Everything was spotlessly clean and pristine, not easy with a house that's just on 200 years old.
We took Tony's recommendation as to where to eat and weren't disappointed.
Neither were we disappointed by his huge breakfasts. We certainly had to limit ourselves with the extras, cereals, fresh fruit etc etc.
We must also give due praise to Carolyn who was so friendly and helpful.
Together they made the most wonderful team, a lovely couple who we felt we'd known for ever.
This was definitely the most relaxing place we have ever stayed at, anywhere in the world.
Thank you, Tony and Carolyn, for making our weekend so perfect.More
