“So much more than just a B&B!”
Reviewed 20 April 2013

We stayed for just one night en route to our final holiday destination and it was the perfect start to our break! Bob and Josie were extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spotless and very tastefully decorated, with lovely views of the coast. On arrival, we were asked if we wanted a cup of tea to which we happily accepted. 10 minutes later we were presented tea and warm scones (delicious!) - a lovely treat. Dawlish is a quiet seaside town, on first glance, there didn't seem much going on, but then we did stay on a Sunday night. We both agreed that it would be a great base for exploring (the train is very reasonably priced) and after a wonderful breakfast of smoked haddock and poached eggs, we'd love to return!

A two night break to the lovely town of Dawlish only made better with the top notch Bed & Breakfast at Dunluce House. We stayed in Room 1 on the top floor which was stunningly decorated with a lovely view from the Velux windows. Bob & Josie who own/run the Dunluce House were brilliant, they made you feel so welcome and Josie's Full English Breakfast was stunning. We are definitely going to book again for at the very least another weekend break (hopefully with a bit better weather next time). I would highly recommend this B&B and now they have added the self contained apartment for people who want to stay that little bit longer.

Our two night stay was to visit relatives in the neighbourhood. We were made very welcome in a smart Georgian town house. The top floor bedroom was spacious, and the bed very comfortable. A pink sky announced the sunrise over the sea which we saw through the dormer and Velux windows.
Breakfast was generous and beautifully cooked and Bob and Josie were good hosts.
Thank you very much.

Bob and Josie made excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are spacious, with quality furniture and decor,in all honesty the House could not be improved upon in any area .From what we could see the Dunluce House are leagues ahead of other BnB rooms nearby of comparable price. It takes minutes to walk to the centre of Dawlish and the sea.The breakfast was a really high standard, with loads of choice and great pleasant relaxed and efficient service. The small details really were noticeable, the rooms are decorated/furnished with real attention to detail, you have the ability to eat a takeaway in the lovley dining room -if you wish- and iced water in your room of an evening ,the option to order fish for breakfast if you want it ahead.I cannot imagine any other BnB in Dawlish could provide this quality accommodation for the cost.An excellent inviting and stylish place to stay with a great view over the sea and bay at the front of the house. We stopped as 3 family members in 2 rooms and both rooms were perfect.

Room Tip: The rooms at the front of the house have an excellent view. The double front room on first floor has...

An excellent Bed and Breakfast. Rooms were beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable - lovely finishing touches of art and ornaments. Location was perfect - right in the centre of town.
Fantastic breakfast. Will return when visiting family next time.

Room Tip: Yellow room was fantastic - like a mini suite. Beautiful view of the sea.
