Hot tub lovely! Lodge would have been great if I didn't have to spend the first 3/4 hour cleaning it,(kitchen cupboards, drawers, bathroom sink and plug that had never been cleaned and as for the cobwebs, well lets say no more). Entertainment rubbish, chip shop rubbish. When I complained about the cleanliness I was told that the owners cleaned it themselves and that they would pass on my complaint. Would not go back to this site.

I've been coming to this holiday park for around 15 years now and used to come as a child with my parents. In the past few years I have started to come with my girlfriend and we both love it. Although we stay in fairly basic accomodation we both still find it enough for us. It is very clean, comfy beds, decent tv, good cooking area. The holiday park itself is in a lovely quiet area. It has a large lake running through it which is very nice. Dogs are allowed which is a bonus for us. There is a laundrette, a chippy and snookeroom, a sop and a clubhouse on sight, all which are very good. The entertainment at night isnt the best in the world but we find it a laugh and all the staff and entertainers are very friendly. It was a lady whos name escapes me and deej when we were there. Dawlish itself is beautiful, always has been and always will be. Gorgeous beach and seaside attractions. Very quiet but there are a few very nice pubs. We love the area and love the hotel. We are due to come back in the may bank holiday and will be bringing our children here in the future.

Room Tip: try and not a room too far from the clubhouse if you have a trouble walking far

A stay of four nights was made all the better by the staffs' willingness to help out when I needed to borrow a dvd player for use in my chalet for a couple of nights - they were really great. The site itself was compact, clean and the chalet provided good basic, clean accomodation for my stay - the park 'did what it said on the tin' - and the staff lifted it as above average with their helpfulness. Plus! It was a great location from which to explore south devon, dartmoor and beyond!

Just come back from a real gem of a hoilday park. Accommiadtion was a Ashwood 3 bedroomed chalet. Everything was new and comfortable. The only down side could be that it is quite a long walk to the shop and clubhouse but for us this was not a problem beacause of the location was peacefull.
The Ashwood had 3 bedrooms, one double and 2 twin bedrooms.
We wil be back next year.

Room Tip: new Ashwoods are the best

Booked 4 days for nice and easy week when senior adults were more catered for so few little ones around. We like entertainment and bingo so the evenings were just up our street and we were not disapointed on that score as Kirsty and Cheryl worked hard to please everybody.
The accommodation was basic but adequate with 2 bedrooms, and equipped kitchen.
The only small thing was that the bar was closed all day until 7pm and the fish and chips shop
did not open till 4.30.The Londis shop was open all day with reasonable prices.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the whole place gave an atmosphere of a homely welcoming site.
We will return!

White goods:

Good - electric cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave - clean.

Decor:

Bit shabby - very 90s, and the bed headboard looked like it could tell a few stories.

Storage:

Okay - some chest of draws would have been nice but otherwise - it was functional.

But my word: the damp...and the mould...not good.

In fact, the carpeting was so damp that my suitcase was wet when I rested it on the floor.

There was mould growth in the children's room - wholly unacceptable.

One thing I did like: the resident family of swans - but if you feed them - be warned, they remember the good deed and will actually use their beaks to knock on the door in the morning!

This made me giggle.

What didn't make me laugh - the onsite 'entertainment' - the entertainment was actually surreal, I felt like I was time-warped into a "Hi de Hi" sitcom - without the comedy.

Very strange....

Room Tip: Ask to see your chalet or caravan. If it smells of damp - demand to be moved.

if you want a uncomfortable sleep, freezing cold swimming pool, booking in 45min late, overflowing toilets, cob webs, a dirty sheets, lack of storage, broken hoover, damp smell and a terrible club house then this is a great holiday for you.
Saying all that i would stay again for a very cheap get away. £400 for a week for 6 people for a week in august isn't bad. staff fixed repairs in less then 15 minutes of reporting them.
swimming pool is NOT heated, very misleading as we were told by staff that it was reported but they said it doesn't say how much its heated. not helpful.
beds are mad a double is better a 1 person and pull out bed was broken and really uncomfortable.
cleaners slow and running late 45mins with a really late booking in time of 4.00pm
toilets flooded a few times - they did fix it and said it happens because its fitted wrong
sheets had brown marks on so we had to put it in a bag outside and cob webs in corner and on lights.
storage needs some work a chest of draws would be nice
take an air fresheners and a candle as you will need it. this should be supplied by hazelwood.
club house is poor the worst thing about the site. had a feeling of a British legion not the same prices. need to put some money in this site to make to good.
like i say i would go back for cheap price but that the only attraction

Room Tip: just take a candle or air freshener. this is a must
