Had a two night last minute break. Would normally go to a Warners hotel, even though I am in my 40's. This hotel is every bit as good. Clean, good location, good food ( I am a chef ), and good local staff. Wonderful family atmosphere. Highly recommended to anyone that maybe unsure.

Discovered the Langstone almost a year ago, and as well as spending many a memorable Sunday lunchtime there, we have spent many days there, particularly with the children we mind, and our grandchildren. The grandchildren love the Hotel, with it's pools, indoor and outdoor play area, and massive lounges. Our grandson has autism, and loves to find a quiet corner where he can simply be by himself, with the space he needs.
Last summer's weather was truly awful, but we did manage a couple of days here when the sun shone, and enjoyed the outdoor pool as well, and lunches on the lawns and terraces. On a more typical summer's day, we stayed in and enjoyed the Olympics on the big screen.
The staff are quite lovely at the Hotel, many having been there a long time, which surely speaks volumes, so helpful and courteous, with a friendly informality.
Christmas decorations were spectacular, including a grotto on the stage of the main dining room / ballroom.
The new and extended bar snacks will be well worth exploring, though I wish traditional chips were offered as an alternative to the non child friendly wedges/chunkies.
Whenever we offer the grandchildren a day out somewhere, and ask where they want to go, it's always the Langstone Cliff !

We took our 2 children (6 and 4 years old) and dog for an overnight stay during half term. The weather was very cold so we didn't spend much time outside. The children really enjoyed the indoor play area, swimming pool and children's entertainer. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We'll definately be back.

We have been using this hotel every year for the past 15.
One of the best family run hotels we have ever used.
My daughter is disabled and the staff could not do enough for us. As we arrive each year it is like visiting our second home. Within minutes of arriving it is as if we have been there for weeks. The view from the hotel to the sea is great. The room we use is ideal for our situation big and airy, with a bathroom that really suits my daughter's needs, even though it is not specifically a disabled room. The dining is good, and the entertainment great.

We have stayed overnight several times for private functions in the hotel and have been visiting for over 25 years from when our children were small. Now we visit as a couple , There are very few hotel restaurants that can serve 130 people quickly and efficiently and give a choice for all three courses . At every other hotel or restaurant when attending a function large or small we have either had to choose in advance or there has been no choice. Several years ago when there was a major power cut in the area staff working by candle light managed to serve the food on time and it was hot. Food is of a good quality and the staff have never been anything other than helpful and polite. The choice at breakfast is amazing and staff are always willing to bring special orders to the table .You only have to ask.The smoked haddock with poached eggs is excellent.
We have always found the rooms to be very clean and comfortable .The balcony rooms overlooking the car park and pool are larger than those with a direct sea view, they are also away from the function rooms so may well be quieter . We have read several of the poor reviews and to be honest they do not sound like the Langstone Cliff Hotel that we know.
