Ended up eating here after having one of the best take away teas my wife has had. I know it sound silly but all three teas were made as we wanted them and that is what made have a meal before we came away from Devon.
The food, staff and location are all great. It was a really lovely day and we sat inside where the staff had opened the windows fully. The food was great good fish in a light batter, fully English with fried bread to die for. Everything came out all together and was hot.

Went on our first night, as not much open. What a mistake can't believe they charge what they do for frozen fish and chips chips were over cooked and the batter was yellow and soggy . Not recommended at all

Ive been here a few times and have always quite enjoyed the food, but the meal I had there last week was well below par. I had an all day veggie breakfast, which sounded lovely on the menu, but when it came it was missing some of the elements described and so salty that I could not eat it all. Very disappointing. As ever the service was excellent and the restaurant was spotless. I will go back, but will stick to the fish and chips next time, having had them before I can vouch for the quality. I agree its a bit pricey, but
the portions are decent and the service is good.

Sadly the fish was very dry and batter was soggy. The chips were cold and undercooked. The price was very expensive for what was presented. Avoid.

Had a really good cup of coffee, and have previously bought chip take-away that weren't too bad either. However the service is absolutely appalling, the wait staff don't actually wait, i had to balance a cup of coffee on a saucer to my table from the counter while walking on crutches and the two staff on premises just stood and watched. the previous time i had the pleasure of arriving at a shift change and stood at the counter waiting to be served whilst the two had a discussion of which one of them would be"out of this dump" first. The inside tables are dirty as too are the walls and the pictures on the walls. This is a well positioned business and with better management and hygiene it could have been good.
