This is the secnd visit but will go more often. Made to feel welcome straightaway, a good range of food.

I had fish and chips and it was excellent, served on a big plate without fancy baskets for chips etc!!

My wife fancied curry of the day (there was a choice of three) but couldn't decide which, so at the chefs suggestion she had some of all three, plus pickle, plus poppadom.

A warm and comfortable and relaxing evening - shame to have to go home!

Back to Dittisham and our most favourite pub for Mick's 65th Birthday hopefully no swimming in the river as too cold in February. Best pub, best food, best landord & landlady, can't wait to see you all, Mick & Mel, (involuntary swimming) will be in on Saturday 15th Feb xx

We first visited in July on a warm summer's evening with the place buzzing. The food preparation was timely considering the the number of customers and served piping hot and all courses were of high quality. With its amazing views as well, it certainly lived up to its reputation of being one of the places to visit on a trip to Dartmouth.

We visited again tonight on a cool dark November evening and although obviously quieter than in the height of the summer, the place still has not lost its magic. Friendly staff who gave us a warm welcome and a meal of delicious seafood pancakes followed by a wonderful chocolate desert finished our visit to Dartmouth on a high. Thank you!

We had lunch here on two consecutive days, both very good. Very helpful and friendly staff and wonderful views of the river. If you can reserve the table for 4/6 by the window, the view is unforgettable. Good choice of food, from soups and sandwiches to full meals. Good choice of reasonably priced wines. At low water you can park on the beach, otherwise there are two car parks. Someone mentioned the toilets, unfortunately it is not the best of areas but that seems to be the norm in British pubs. Not really that bad.

At the end of our ferry oat trip over to agatha Christies house we called in The ferry Boat inn for lunch! and what a lovely warm welcome we had.
The staff were lovely, obliging and when we were leaving I told them how much I liked my small beer glass and they washed it and gave it me on leaving! how kind!!
The food was very good and went alongside the great atmosphere .
We will return.
