We were thoroughly impressed by Meadpool House. Ian and Gillian made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was of a high standard - very nicely furnished, and so many little personal touches, such as homemade biscuits left in a tin by the tea and coffee. Fantastic views from our room. The excellent cooked breakfas twas served with a selection of Gillian's homemade jams (which were so delicious I bought some to bring home). We give this one top marks!! Jacqs and Clive (Sussex). Two good pubs within walking distance, and fantastic walks.

We have just returned from the most wonderful weekend at Meadpool House. Ian and Gillian where lovely hosts and there home is beautiful, I am very jealous. Our room was great with the most beautiful view of the moors from our bedroom window. On arrival we where greeted with homemade cake and tea and cofee which was a very nice touch. Breakfast was fab with lots of choice. The village of Brendon is so pretty, we walked through the woods by the river into Lynmouth which was definatley worth it as the scenery is wonderful. We really did not want to leave meadpool house and we where made to feel very welcome. We are already looking in to going again in the new year, and will be recommending it to all our frineds and family.

Been there three times now, with my partner and we've also brought along the parents this time. Ian and Gillian are the most welcoming hosts, the breakfast is amazing and the house and the rooms are very clean, nicely decorated and just beautiful.
If you are looking for a place to just relax for a few days and do some walks and explore the lovely area - don't look anywhere else!

Have stayed here twice now with my twenty-something daughters and we love it! A peaceful location, comfortable beds, spotlessly clean and unobtrusive but warm welcome. In addition there's delecious homemade cake and a fantastic choice at breakfast - including perfectly cooked smoked haddock with poached egg! Gillian also provides a superb packed lunch - which was great for a days walking on South West Coastal Path - after which Ian dried out our walking boots and kagools for us in the boiler room. There's even a torch and umbrella by the front door to borrow for the walk to the local pub. Highly recommended.
