“You cannot ask for more”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 July 2014

My Girlfriend and I stayed here on the 27th and 28th of June 2013.
We were starting the South West Costal walk - as such we asked to could we leave our car the on the 24th as we were walking from Minehead to Combe Martin.

Well this was no trouble we parked there at no extra cost and off we went.

On the Friday we arrived wet and tired to warm cup of coffee (or tea) and cake and a chat. Nick and Rachel were great friendly and really wanted to talk to you.

Both nights we stayed for dinner there and it was fantastic a choice or courses and bar.

To say nothing was to much trouble is an understatement - anything they can do they would.

talking to the we found that they also do a taxi service at a cost of £1 a mile which is £12 ish to Barnstable! what a bargain!

Oh and I the sticky toffee pudding it to die for, it is a must have with clotted cream and ice cream, my girlfriend wants to know does Rachael deliver.

Anyone reading this please remember this is a guest house in lovely costal town with perfect friendly talkative hosts, and the house ( yes a house) reflects this.

This is not a modern hotel and I am so thankful for that, this is a truly British family run business and is just great, we are going back next year for the next leg of the walk so we can have more puddings

Stayed here for one night while walking some of the South West Coast Path, can't recommend Blair Lodge enough, friendly people, spotlessly clean rooms. We opted for the evening meal everything home made and wine or other alcoholic beverages if you want them. Will we be back I hope so and next time for longer,

What a great place to stay when you are in dire need of some rest and recuperation!
We have recently had 4 nights at Blair Lodge with my elderly parents. Their every need was catered for, and we were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble!
Rachel's cooking is superb, we ate in every evening, and it was certainly fine dining!

Will definitely stay there again, thoroughly recommend!

We have just returned yesterday from our sixth visit to Blair Lodge it was an all round first class. I would recommend Blair Lodge to any one visiting this area. Nick and Rachel give you a very warm welcome and work very hard to insure your stay is a very good experience. As always the cleanliness and general standards of the hotel were very good. The home cooked food is excellent I would always opt for evening meal. Nick and Rachel are so friendly and helpful, they really make you feel very welcome! We have already booked our visit for next year!

Room Tip: If available stay in a front room (they have a sea view)

Nick and Rachel give a really authentic warm welcome that last throughout the stay. Blair Lodge is a short stroll from the sea front - many rooms with great sea views. Clean and well presented, breakfasts were excellent - meticulous attention to detail means your stay is restful and stress free.

Just returned from a week's stay with Rachel and Nick. Blair Lodge is a wonderful base when visiting the area. The rooms are clean and comfortable and ok the en-suites aren't huge but then I dont expect Balmoral sized bathrooms at the very reasonable prices Rachel and Nick charge. The food is fantastic, home made and plentiful, nothing is too much trouble and Rachel will cater for any special dietary needs. If you want more , your plate will be replenished. Cant recommend this place highly enough. Its worth paying extra for a sea view.
