My sister and I stayed at this gem of a B&B whilst walking the South West Coast Path as it is perfectly located , just off the path. Our hosts Colin and Jonathon were super welcoming , friendly and full of helpful tips on where to eat and places to visit just off the Coast Path. The B&B is fantastically clean and the twin room was super comfy and well laid out, with lots of lovely thoughtful touches. Breakfast was superb and extremely filling ! All in all Perfect !

Thank you for choosing to stay at Channel Vista during your North Devon hike. Our proximity to The South West Coast Path makes us ideally suited for providing an oasis for tired walkers and it was a real pleasure to look after you and your sister!

It’s the little touches that often make the difference between an average experience and a great one, well this is a great one. Colin and John meet you on arrival, explain everything with honesty, even had a choice of room. The hotel is well positioned for the beach or a walk into town, great for stopping off on the coastal walk or a base for seeing the North Devon attractions. The room was very clean with excellent en suite and coffee making facilities plus water and biscuits..love the little chocolates on the bed. Breakfast is to die for, plus the honesty bar is great in the evening when you return. Colin and John are great hosts with an obvious passion for what they want to achieve plus going out of their way to give great service. Will return here when we next visit the area.

Room Tip: Front rooms for sea view

It's so nice to receive such positive feedback and heartening to know you'll be returning to Channel Vista. It's often those little touches which leave an impression and we were delighted you enjoyed our refurbished Conservatory honesty bar in the evenings. Thank you both!

North Devon Coast is a gem worth visiting. Combe Martin is an excellent choice to base yourself and discover the surrounding coast (whether on foot or by car or by boat). Personally I prefer the charming village over the other beach resorts (which are only a short drive away). The friendly hosts of Channel Vista Guest House made our trip even better. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The place itself is super cozy and offers all the amenities of a B&B. The great, amazing, awesome breakfast is for sure an outstanding start in the day. I also strongly suggest to follow their dinner recommendation. Wish we can come again!

The North Devon coast certainly boasts some of the finest scenery in England and we're glad to know you enjoyed it as much as we do. Our home-cooked breakfasts are expected to prepare you for your daily adventures and it was no trouble to arrange a restaurant table for you both - thank you for stopping off at Channel Vista on your tour!

I stayed here for 3 nights in June and had a fabulous time. Colin and Jon were friendly, fun, and full of information about the local area. My room was light and airy, beautifully clean and well stocked with tea, coffee, water and biscuits-which were always replaced. The breakfasts are wonderful – from a massive freshly cooked breakfast to the best scrambled eggs I have had in a long while and smoked salmon. Fresh strawberries, blueberries, yoghurt, real apple and orange juice (why does anyone serve that powdered stuff?) and plenty of tea or coffee. There is a very reasonably priced honesty bar in a little lounge, with the drinks that should be served cold kept in a fridge. (It also contains mini bottles of milk if you prefer the real thing with the tea and coffee in your room).
The property is near the sea front and close to local pubs and shops. Combe Martin is a lovely little place with stunning coastal walks and views, well worth a visit in itself, but also close to Lynton, Lynmouth, Ilfracombe & Woolacombe with its fantastic beaches. Can’t wait to return here with my hubby – and we will be staying at Channel Vista when we do.

Your wonderfully complimentary and detailed review of Channel Vista could not be more appreciated, and we thank you very much. My response in contrast, is short and to the point. Having you with us was a real pleasure - and we can't wait to welcome you back!

Lovely place to stay. The hosts are lovely and so enthusiastic. Breakfast great, nice touch with the honesty bar which included fresh milk. Organised a taxi for us and recommended a place to eat. Would definitely go and stay again. Got all the basics right which is so important.

Well, I guess you have to try and get the basics right before you branch out. We're always happy to arrange cabs and book tables for guests at local restaurants. You were lovely and enthusiastic too - which makes things easier for us - thank you!
