Been to sandaway a few times now, and every time we go it feels like im going home, lovely quiet park, friendly staff and so close to so many places to visit. As we have a dog we usually book a budget or a bronze caravan, the furniture in them are a little tired and dated but you get what you pay for but they have always been clean every yrar we have been there, cant wait to go back down in September, love you guys x

stayed 9 -16 june our caravan 137 over looked combe martin beach very clean compliments to the cleaning staff of that caravan.the site its self is on a hill overlooking the sea with views that are stunning the site is hilly so if you have a problem with hills this could be a problem also there is limited outside lighting on roadways and paths where our caravan was is totally dark the site itself clubhouse doing bingo every night some outside artists maria the stripey entertainment lady did a show on 2 occasions very good voice.a takeaway that is only open from 5 to 9 in the evening which for us was a bit inconvenient when a meal was wanted in the daytime.
the private beach is a very long way down many steep steps not for the faint hearted just rock and pebbles.
under the club house a soft play area and a small slot machine arcade.
the outside pool has a child pool and is heated nice and warm .
emma and maria the entertainment people are very freindly will stop and talk however zach the male entertainment person seems to keep himself to himself.
the bar staff are freindly one inparticular the man with the moustach and beard he has a lego watch strap.
the shop on site has a bit of everything can be a bit expensive ,
combe martin village the small beach very sheltered safe for bathing surrounded by shops cafes 2 pubs selling food but only after 5pm a canoe hire shop that seemed to be very popular also wet suit hire.
all in all a very nice week with good weather and the view from our caravan made our stay very enjoyable well done all at jhon fowler mr and mrs james

Hello Mr and Mrs James

Thank you for taking the time to leave your fantastic feedback; it’s always a pleasure receiving such positive comments.

We take great pride in keeping all grades of accommodation up to a very high standard and it’s brilliant that this isn’t going unnoticed. All comments will be passed on to our Housekeeper and the cleaning team.

We are very lucky with the location of some of the caravans on our park. We are delighted that you were able to share that experience.

With regard to the takeaway opening hours, we have experimented over the years with various opening hours and it is always dependent on the numbers of people on the park, and since the change in the regulations regarding taking children out of school during term time, I'm afraid there are times when the park is too quiet for longer opening hours.

The outside lighting - we are aware and we are working on it.

Let me thank you again for taking the time to leave this lovely review and we look forward to welcoming you back to our park very soon.

we booked a late availability 3 night break which we felt was good value. The van is a 2 bedroom gold standard. Very clean, everything in good working order. Nice bathroom for a caravan. The reception staff had the van ready slightly earlier than promised and were super friendly. The club house is typical club house, food looked ok but we didnt eat there. Had a few drinks - sat outside as the weather was fab. The view from the patio on front of the club house is directly overlooking the bay, breathtaking really. The pool looked perfect - for the kiddies really I guess.

A nicely kept and quiet site. I would recommend and return. great for couples and families too.

A steep walk takes you down into the rocky cove nearby.

Room Tip: sawmill pub nearby serves nice food and has really nicely decor

Made the mistake of booking to stay here first , then read the reviews! reading so many bad/poor reviews made me think we were going to have a horrible stay here and will admit was dreading it! HOW WRONG I WAS this is a lovely site very clean and tidy in a wonderful area views are amazing , stayed in apartment 15 can't fault it no issues at all with the accommodation , granted some of the caravans only a few looked dated but you do find this on a lot of park sites !! Staff were very helpful polite and nothing was too much trouble The poor reviews doesn't do the site justice people will always find fault and in some cases rightly so , you can't please everyone !! Thankyou for a lovely weeks stay and will definitely be back

Hello Jonathan

Thank you very much for leaving us such a fantastic review, we really appreciate it. Your comments have been passed to all departments.

I am pleased that you found out for yourself that the park does not deserve poor reviews. We simply do not understand why some people choose to post them, when all the staff work really hard to make everyone feel welcome and it is so disheartening for them to have to read some of the comments made about them. However, we are all individuals and we can all have vastly different opinions on the same subject.

I am delighted to hear that you had a great time. Our returning customers are very important to us and we look forward to welcoming you again very soon.

This place was much better than I expected. What a glorious setting. It was perched on top of a cliff looking out at stunning North Devon coastline with Emerald green water.
When we booked the cheap deal on livingsocial, we were expecting a dark and dingy caravan on a tired park, but we were pleasantly surprised. There was only the bronze accommodation left when we booked, so we went for it not knowing what to expect. When we got there we were massively impressed. We had a two bedroomed apartment with kitchenette, lounge and bathroom. It was a stones throw away from a private beach that was just beautiful, with Emerald green water and glorious sunsets.
The park itself had about 100 static caravans and glamping pods and a camping field. It was a short drive away from Ilfracombe and Combe Martin that both had lovely pubs, restaurants and stunning beaches.
We had never been to that part of Devon before but we all thoroughly enjoyed and and wanted to stay longer.
I would definitely recommend this park and the surrounding area as a fantastic place to go and just a beautiful part of the world.
