“A Great Family Experience”
Reviewed 11 October 2013

This is a super place to eat for Sunday dinner. We were in one of our favourite places Combe Martin visiting for twelve days with our family who live in this charming Village. Ye Olde George and Dragon has been carefully refurbished and the food was excellent. Would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

“The best carvery, ever”
Reviewed 3 October 2013

We had a brilliant carvery on a Sunday evening, even though we had not booked they managed to fit us in, it really was that busy. Good choice of meats and the veg selection was brilliant. Coupled with a good range of beers and wines this is a good place to take the whole family. We will visit again when in town.

“was okay”
Reviewed 16 September 2013

Very long wait between starters and main (just over a hour) and that was on a quiet night. Think we drank more than intended because of the wait! My boyfriends haddock tasted lovely, but my gammon was as tough as old boots!

“Ye Olde George and Dragon - The Standard to Beat - Bar None”
Reviewed 15 September 2013

Castle Street Combe Martin. Well what can I say :) Do not go anywhere else for Sunday lunch. First visit to Ye Old George and Dragon today. In short...fantastic Sunday Lunch. Bright, clean and extremely well presented Pub and Restaurant. A classy and highly professional Pub that should be awarded stars for its food and service. Read my other reviews, I am nothing if not straight. Ye Olde George and Dragon Combe Martin sets the standard for Sunday lunch, anywhere & everywhere. I've ran carveries, I've cooked, served and slaved in kitchens for 30 years. This standard I would struggle to maintain.

Staff; great, food; great; seating; great; restaurant; beautiful. We were welcomed on entry and treated very well. Great start :) Then...you see the carvery, then, you're in heaven.

A great lunch and a drink for £10.00, just :) Great selection of meats, great fresh vegetables . Friendly and attentive staff. After such a long time looking for a great Pub Sunday lunch, we've found it. Combe Martin, Castle Street, Just go there.... Criticisms? Not yet :)
