Me and my boyfriend enjoyed a lovely weeks break. We found pebbles comfortable, warm, well equipped and is a home from home. Very short walk into the town and beach. We loved our day trips to ilfracombe, saunton sands and woolocombe. Definitely will be coming back later this year!
For a cheap no frills stay it was good. Large kitchen and lounge all comfortable and in good condition. Toilet a bit small, and the mattress in the double room needs replacing.
We went on the storm weekend, it was warm clean and cheap good VFM.
Yes the back steps are mega steep, I wished I had took a smaller car as the neighbours blocked me in daily, not the "Peebles" fault just thoughtless people.

Pebbles is a ground floor flat in a small terraced property which is fine for a couple maybe with smallish children. Accommodation is quite comfortable with a decent sized and just about adequately equipped kitchen and a decent lounge. You have to pass through the smaller bedroom (between the two small single beds) to get to the 'master' bedroom with the double bed.
It is positioned a little way out of the village but still only a few minutes walk from the beach.
There is a parking area at the back connected to the back door by a flight of very steep steps, and steps from the front door drop directly onto the road - not really a problem for the able bodied but old folk may struggle and kids need to be watched.
On the whole we found Pebbles to be perfectly comfortable and good value. We were also allowed to book for just 3 nights rather than the normal full week minimum stay.
When we first arrived it was a bit hairy unloading bikes and luggage at the front of the property off busy road with hazard lights on. You need to defiantly do this at the front as steps at the back are horrible, very steep with different heights and widths of step. Also you need to be very good at reverse driving and three point turn in very tight space parking car at back is fun!!!!!
When we got into flat very clean and tidy everything we needed for three of us very homely. Good size kitchen with everything you need, shower room and toilet very cosy size but did the job and very clean. Bedrooms good size you need to walk through twin room to gain access to double so OK for mum, dad with kids, need to be good mates to share with friends (especially if you need to visit the loo in the night).
Also by next morning when getting clothes out of back bedroom wardrooms we realized are clothes were damp, then when going to bed the sheets felt damp. The dampness got worse through the week.
This property was fine for us with our teenage boy (13) I would not want to take young kids, also wouldn't take my dog to this property with the stairs at the back and access with very busy route road at front. Glad bedrooms are at the of back of property as no road noise. ALSO FRONT HEDGE NEEDS CUTTING BACK AS REALLY HARD TO CROSS ROAD on the right side as you face out of the property.
Combe Martin was beautiful good distance just to walk down to from apartment. The apartment was a good base for our holiday we enjoyed our time there it had all we needed, just shame about damp and access from the back with steps.

Me and my boyfriend and our dog Max really enjoyed our stay in Pebbles. It was a comfy little place that was just the right size for us and would also be suitable for a small family. It had everything we needed with a big tv in the livingroom, cooker, microwave, washing machine etc and a yard with a washingline to hang up our westuits after a day in Woolacombe. It is a 2 minute walk from the nearest beach in which half of it is dog friendly and the local shops and pubs. The pubs are great with a nice atmosphere and great food. Combe Martin is also situated near loads of great places to visit all of which were listed in the visitors book, along with a few great walks to do if you bring a dog. Woolacmbe beach is one of the best in Europe and I loved Lynton and Lynmouth (both about 20 mins away). Would definitely stay again!
On a very busy main road at the front which proved a little dangerous on ocassions, i would not recommend parking along the man road to unpack. Around the back of the house is where the parking space is..which is very high up steep steps leading to the back door. Be VERY careful on these steps. No good for anyone with poor mobility. We were ok as we are very mobile..but even so when it rained the steps were slippery and nothing stable to hold on to.
There is a tiny back yard which is very smelly. The house itself has quite a damp feel. The bedding was covered in hair, im not certain it was fresh bedding! The toilet is not suitable for tall or large people. It is TINY! you can not move in it..i am not very big. It was very uncomfortable. Apart from this we had a nice time and enjoyed the area. But i would not return to the house. Sorry.
