A wonderful cosy cottage with everything you need for a relaxing comfortable stay. Very helpful and friendly owners in a beautiful setting, absolutely ideal for a get away from the city break. Fabulous walks right outside and accessible for all things Exmoor. Will definitely be back and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Thank you for this very comprehensive review. A good point made about the fireguard and we will provide one in future when a baby/young child is resident (for readers of the review Snowdrop is normally sleeps just 2 adults but a cot can be squeezed in). We are also glad you discovered the White Horse whisky collection, an Exmoor attraction that is well known locally!

“Warm, spacious & comfortable cottage in a very peaceful country setting”

Owner had a problem with the boiler in Snowdrop Cottage and kindly put us into one of his larger cottages. It was very warm and comfortable. If there was anything to gripe about, the decor is a little outdated and bathroom rather old-fashioned.
The owner was extremely kind and helpful and even acted as the perfect first-aider when my wife tripped and grazed her leg.

Fair review but should point out that since this guests visit all the cottages have been redecorated upstairs and had new carpet. Updating the bathrooms is next on our list. Problem with heating in Snowdrop was a leaking hot water tank which has been replaced.

“Lovely warm and cosy cottage”

We stayed during wet and rainy November in this lovely warm and cosy cottage. The log fire was very welcome as the weather was not particularly kind to us. The cottage is lovely and clean with everything you need for a get away break. The hosts were lovely and there if you needed them. The surrounding area is beautiful with lots to do. Would recommend this lovely dog friendly cottage to anyone. We will be back.

“Can't wait for the next visit”

We came away not sure what we would find, but where thoroughly surprised, in what we found the cottage was enormous, the bathroom large also the kitchen with a washing machine should it be needed. our two Labs thoroughly enjoyed the garden felt at home with the chicken in the run next to them. Mel and Dave were on hand if needed and didn't intrude, Gill got her horse fix with Polly, who she feed most mornings with carrots, 10 mins walk along the river and you were in Exford with two hotels who do local food dishes and a tea room in the '60s' style which does marvellous Cream Tea's with hot scones, the plus side is that you walk out of the car park and there is a bridalway which takes you up onto moors.

Thank you Peter & Gill for this lovely comprehensive review. Thanks for the compliments about the cottage (for which we are happy to take credit) but the real star is the location on beautiful Exmoor with its walks and wildlife. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
