My Wife and I and two friends spent only one night at The Old Rectory, but we were made very welcome by Huw and Sam the owners, and served tea and cake within 1/2 hour in their lovely garden.
Dinner was a 5 course candlelit meal with several choices,no "Poncy food just good wholesome local produce cooked by chef Huw,and served over a relaxed 2 1/2 hours by Sam and their new waitress, followed by coffee in the lounge. The meal was excellent, the morning breakfast was fantastic.
The rooms were spotlessly clean, with a king size firm but comfortable bed, ensuite with bath and shower.
Huw and Sam`s friendliness made it a very relaxing one night stay, nothing was too much trouble. We will be returning for a longer stay.
