This is a lovely friendly country hotel .The family and staff were very friendly and helpful.? The rooms were good with all the usual facilities. A heated towel rail is always good so glad they provided one.. The service was very efficient but felt relaxed. The food both breakfast and dinner was of a very high standard for a country pub style. You couldn't not enjoy your visit here.i would recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet Exmoor break with a welcoming place to come back to. I noticed that the locals used the restaurant for supper at the weekend which is always a good sign. We didn't take a dog but it is a very dog friendly place.( although if you are not a dog lover this is not intrusive) excellent in very way and a good price.

Room Tip: I didn't see any other room so can't offer a suggestion . Ours was just a standard room but...

A lovely family run establishment so relaxed and friendly. The rooms were very clean and tidy the food was outstanding, all in all a lovely place to stay and relax.
If you have a dog they are made very welcome in the Exmoor Forest Inn and with all the great walks on the doorstep it is a lovely place to stay.

We stayed 2 nights and were immediately impressed by the brilliant location, with wonderful walks from the Inn. No need for the car. We were made very welcome by friendly staff. Our small dog was also made welcome with towels for wiping muddy feet. Amazingly after quite a long walk when he was particularly muddy, they also provided a bucket of warm water and scoop so he could be washed properly. Wow! Our double superior room was lovely, having absolutely everything we needed. Breakfasts were wonderful and had dinner twice in the restaurant at night. Excellent choice and wonderful food. We thoroughyly enjoyed our visit and will certainly be back. Over the last 5 years we have tried several different B

We stayed here as an overnight stop walking the Two Moors Way. A very nice family run establishment with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Refreshing to get a full English breakfast with everything rather than the more usual sausages or bacon, tomatoes or beans.

Having made a last minute decision to take a 4 day break in the Somerset/Devon area, I scoured booking.com and found this lovely little gem. Perfectly located for walks on the moor and within easy reach of the coast, this made an ideal base for us.

The staff were welcoming, and friendly and the food was delicious. Their breakfast menu was ample and kept us going throughout the day.

The living room had a good supply of books, games and dvds and was a lovely place to unwind with a drink after a hards days hiking.

Rooms were bright, spacious, clean and our bed was extrememly comfortable.

I recommend this inn for anyone who really wants to get away from it all and be surrounded by the beautiful Exmoor countryside.

This was my second stay at the Exmoor Forest Inn. We found it just what we wanted, friendly welcome, good food and clean comfortable room. It felt well organised and is a lovely spot for exploring Exmoor or the nearby coast. Last time we brought the dogs and they were made to feel welcome too !

My partner and I stayed for a long weekend we were made very welcome as was our dog and kindly stored our dog food in their fridge. We stayed in room 7 which was clean, spacious and comfortable with a nice en suite bathroom and very good shower. Lovely location, peaceful, beautiful scenery with some nice walks on the doorstep

We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was freshly cooked and tasty as was the breakfast all in all recommended and I would go back
