Very friendly helpful staff. A great find in Exmoor. Fab location for walking and easy to get to most destinations on Exmoor. A great, well-stocked bar with a very knowledgable barman/proprietor....I even tasted my first Whisky !

Room Tip: I think all if not most rooms over-look the front of the hotel with great views up the valley.

Excellent hotel, food, service, staff, food all up to expectation. In a very quiet part of Exmoor, you could even see the Milky Way at night. Booked for 2 nights, stayed for 4 it was so good!
We will return.

Room Tip: 9 of the 10 rooms face the valley view.

Twenty six of us stayed here for a long weekend and took over the whole hotel to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary, my parents have stayed many times before so knew the place well. We were not disappointed, the stunning location the cosy and comfortable rooms, roaring fires, excellent food and a very well stocked bar all made for a great weekend. Highly recommended for group stays but also if you are looking a quiet weekend break walking on the moors we would highly recommend staying here.

Excellent hotel, freindly staff, well stocked bar, log fires, comfotable rooms. We were on a walking weekend and found Simonsbath House a great palce to stay. There is not much around and you will need a car.But a great getaway, no light pollution great for star gazing unfourtunately it was cloudy when we were there.

Room Tip: ask for one at the front of the house - better views.

This Hotel in the middle of Exmoor offers a relaxing holiday with excellent food and a superb bar with a range of scotch! The rooms are well appointed and the service by both Andrew , Louise and staff could not be bettered in any hotel we have stayed in. The facilities they also offer for school parties are excellent and you would not know that were 20odd children enjoying cycling walking climbing archery etc at the same time as we stayed.

Room Tip: Ask for the 4 poster!!

Outstanding hospitality for our walking group of 8. Nothing was too much trouble even to finding room for our 4 friends who decided to join us for dinner. Having read reviews that said we would be able to ask for help in planning our walks we were well briefed by Andrew and supplied with a map, printed directions and a compass. We had given him a rough idea of how far we wanted to walk and the level of difficulty and he gauged it perfectly.
The hotel is charming and beautifully presented. Without exception the staff are all extremely pleasant and helpful. The food was delicious and Louise and her staff were able to accomodate all our requests. We walk as a group once a year and this was undoubtedly our best find to date. Superb weekend.

Excellent location on Exmoor for a walking weekend. Well appointed rooms, good food and helpful, friendly staff. They will suggest and help to plan routes for walking and provide maps and packed lunches if required. Food was freshly prepared, well presented and the inclusive price for dinner, bed and breakfast was very reasonable.
Great value for money and a very enjoyable weekend would definitely recommend it.
