Great favours and truly lovely food. We even chatted to the chef, it was a lovely meal with just that little but more. Excellent.

Sorry to go against the bulk of reviews, but for a restaurant that advertises as a seafood restaurant, in a Devon coastal resort, near a source of fresh fish, having only 2 fish dishes on the mains menu, was very disappointing. Otherwise staff were helpful and friendly, but let's have a more inspiring menu!

Les saveurs was billed to us a fish restaurant so I was surprised to find so few fish choices on the menu; I don't eat meat so the menu was very limited for me and there is no vegetarian menu. Saying that I did have some lovely scallops to start and chose to have the sea bass for a main. There was no sea bass so it was replaced with red mullet and as I don't like Pernod the chef very kindly served it with a morrocane (?) sauce which was superb with the fish. And this was rounded off with some nice local cheeses - the cheeses were a bit of a mystery as the cheeses are bought in by the chef and the waiter was not sure what had been bought in this week! It's a great place to have in exmouth and the service was great seeing as we were an awkward pair asking lots of questions and making plenty of requests.
