I've stayed here for work. The staff were friendly, the room was bright, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfast was cooked to perfection, excellent choice. Would be a pleasure to stay here again.

We stayed just 1 night on it way to a wedding. The hotel was conveniently located close to the front and our room was large and comfortable. There was a very good full English breakfast included and we had a nice long conversation with the owner before we left.

Stayed in march very unwelcome reception and receptionist! The hotel was in darkness as if closing down it was only 5 in afternoon the receptionist jade who checked us in was very miserable .The only two compliments I can pay this hotel are the cleanliness was immaculate and the lvly breakfast waitress apart from that the hotel needs the hotel inspector Alex poleski to come and revamp this dark and unwelcoming g hotel.

Stayed in The Dolphin 'Hotel' last weekend with my husband and son, Family room, pretty small but clean and bright. En suite basic to say the least! On arrival Saturday morning, enquired time of breakfast and was told at desk breakfast was served up to 10.30am. Came down to breakfast at 2mins past 9am on Sunday morning to be told that breakfast finished at 9am. On querying this, was told 10.30 was checking out time!! Misinformation there somewhere! We did help ourselves to cereal and were given toast by brusque person. We feel this is pretty unbelievably inhospitable! No-one on desk at checkout. No parking (4places only) but you can reserve one. Double yellow lines everywhere so parking almost impossible unless at a distance.Traffic wardens active like wasps all over Exmouth so no escape. I would consider the Dolphin a pretty average B and B and Not an Hotel in any sense of the word. Avoid

Room Tip: Get a room away from main Street as it can be noisy.

Stayed at the Dolphin last weekend as a group of four and from the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming and happy to help. The rooms were absolutely spotless with plenty of space and everything you'd expect to find. The full English breakfasts (inclusive) were cooked to perfection and you were also offered fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts etc! There were no stunning sea views but only a couple of minutes walk to the beach and town centre. We were really impressed and will definitely be returning :)
