It was Saturday night, and we had to use persuasion to dine early at an already-full Chronicle. After dinner, we knew why. We chose The Chronicle from TA's reviews and they were perfectly accurate: good food, imaginatively served and not expensive. Our shared chicken liver paté was generous and delicious; my 6 oz steak perfectly prepared and the duck breast, I'm assured, was, too. I'd highly recommend it, but don't do what we did - book early and linger. It's well worth it.
