We were staying at the Haven complex nearby, what started out as a quick dog walk on Sandy Bay turned into a coast walk into Exmouth! On a gloriously sunny April day, we were famished by the time we got there. The Pavilions looked good as it had outside seating, and the food other diners had looked great. Tired of fried/fast food we opted for the prawn cocktail (£6.95), and our daughter wanted a slice of chocolate cake. We were served quickly, the waiter warned us about the seagulls but thankfully although they were around they did not bother us. Our prawn cocktail was served on a wooden board, 2 slices of lovely thick granary bread, prawns, Marie Rose sauce, homemade coleslaw, chopped fresh tomatoes and salad. Simple but very tasty. Our daughter could not believe her luck, a vast slice of a delicious chocolate ganache cake, enough for all 3 of us to share! There was a green area right beside us and our daughter was able to run around and play with the dog while we ate. The food bill for the 3 of us was less than £20. A fabulous relaxing meal in lovely surroundings. We will be doing that dog walk again next time we are at Sandy Bay!
